@spiderwhatnow her cheeks go red quickly as she sinks back with him like it’s nothing, eyes squeezing shut before her gaze slowly pulls up to him .. sucking in a breath.

“I rest plenty, thank you very much.” he is not fooling anybody, not even himself. fingertips reach for the hem of the soft blanket to peel it off. cold air hits as he begins to slowly sit up. “I really appreciate it, but——.” oh, hold on. he needs to yawn first. —

it would be so easy to fall back asleep. it is quiet, comfortable, and he knows he could really use it. but unfortunately, that is not how he works. when his eyes reopen this time, he does not plan on getting more relaxing in. “What? I thought I said wake me up at seven!”
