We tapped a Sugar Maple behind the school. We collected some sap, and I used a crock pot to reduce it (first time for me). Ss sampled the first round today. The consensus was "delicious"! @boyne_river Special thanks to @sarahbreilly for helping point us in the right direction!

We will be collecting items for this Food Drive from October 23rd to December 9th. All items will be donated to the Alliston Lions Club, servicing the needs of families in our community. @boyne_river

We wear orange today to recognize the residential school system in Canada. Our Indigenous crosswalk was designed in partnership with primary students from BRPS and students from BMHS. Each footprint represents one of the gifts given by the 7 grandfathers. #TruthAndReconciliation

Thank you to @CWF_FCF for providing @boyne_river with 10 pollinator kits - a total of 40 plants that support local pollinators. The EcoTeam planted the first kits a few weeks ago. Today, my class planted the final few plants. Enjoy! #cwfwildspaces

We explored the Sir Frederick Banting Homestead today. An artist, a scientist, a discoverer and a Nobel Prize Winner who grew up where we are growing up! “I feel like I’m in a piece of history!” @boyne_river @NewTecumseth

Today @MrsABeauchamp & @mrdmcampbell joined our class for a Community Circle around the Gifts of the 7 Grandfathers and we talked about Turtle Island 🐢 Kiddos were engaged and did very well learning about all the different animals @FNMI_SCDSB @boyne_river @squad_kinder
