2025 has been a rough year for me, and that’s an understatement. I have accumulated failure after failure, without much success. Here’s my list of losses: - Didn’t reach 1,000 subscribers on YouTube - Didn’t reach 1,000 followers on Medium - Didn’t reach 1,000 X Followers - Bulked a little too hard - Investments are looking rough - Still broke - Haven’t reached financial freedom The truth hurts, but it’s the foundation for what comes next. Growth. I’m a big believer that both wins and losses move you forward in life, so I’m not feeling hopeless, and I’m definitely not giving up. What turns losses into stepping stones are the lessons and skills we can derive from them. So here’s what I got from my losses: - Learned how to video edit - Learned how to write - Learned how to film and speak in front of a camera - Learned how to use a camera - Learned how to use different social media platforms - Became more disciplined and consistent - Built a work system for the long-term - Learned how money works - Learned to be more patient and persistent Although it may just be a mental reframe, which doesn’t change the results of this year. It moves me closer to my goals. For the upcoming year of 2026, my goals will remain the same, but this time I will achieve them. This post is to hold me accountable - and to show you who I truly am. On December 16, 2026, I’ll make an update post. Until then - wishing you the best, Chris

Most people don't have a time problem. But an energy problem. They get upset at morning traffic. They get pulled into workplace drama. They get attached to petty problems outside their control. All of this drains energy. And at the end of the day, They try to refill their tank by scrolling through social media. Which makes things worse. The question isn't - How do I get more time in a day? But - What actions energise me? And what actions protect my energy?

Most people are terrified of failure. Failing in private makes things less scary. Now imagine failing in front of 100s of people. It's terrifying. But there's great power in this if you, Convert your fear of failure into motivation that pushes you forward. The excuse of "I don't have motivation" disappears and is replaced with action. Build in public.

Hard pill to swallow: The answer has been in front of you this whole time, but the "productivity hacks" and "shortcuts" make sure you never see it.

You never start from square 1 when you fail. You have all the skills and lessons you learned. You have the discipline and systems you built. You have all the progress you made. Use everything gained and the data you’ve gathered, and try again.

It's ok to walk away from one-sided relationships. There's no shame in finally putting yourself first.

Did your mom or dad ever threaten to ground you? This was them raising the stakes to incentivise you to either not do a certain action or do more of a particular action. This isn't a fun example. And that’s the point. When you have risk, You have a reason to take action. You can use this to speed up your progress with your goals.

@boynothing001 Removing toxicity is self-preservation. Protect your energy before it infects your life.

Normalize cutting off toxic people from your life. Keeping them is the same as not amputating your arm after getting bitten by a zombie. Toxicity spreads and changes people.

@boynothing001 I get the spirit of this, but I do think it’s more nuanced. Some relationships need distance, or work, not amputation. Growth is learning when to step back, set boundaries, and protect yourself, but every hard relationship might not be an enemy.

@boynothing001 I agree with this. I've been known to use procrastination as a technique to sharpen focus. When time is limited, you stop polishing and start deciding. You focus on what moves the needle. Sometimes, a little pressure isn’t the enemy.

In high school, I finished my essays on the same day they were due and still got a good grade. It wasn’t magic or luck. It was the pressure of the deadline that forced me to focus on what needed to be done and prioritize what truly mattered. We often waste too much time overplanning, overthinking, and focusing on the wrong steps. Does this mean you should do everything last-minute? Absolutely not. But having some time pressure and a clear deadline helps.
