As an American citizen it is intensely offensive to me that we would spend this kind of money on Greenland when we don’t have universal healthcare, mandatory maternity leave, good public schools or any sort of social services.

@jossyoursalad69 No worries, even if they did they’d still blood test for antibodies after either way. Parietal cell antibody and anti intrinsic factor antibodies are what you want to ask for, and they should be more inclined test you if you share that genetic history

@bp0sk Interesting… I had an endoscopy with biopsy however I don’t believe they tested for any of this 😫 I’m going to ask rheum to do blood test for antibodies. I JUST found out that my great grandmother had PA. Thanks to my mother for never telling me this.

I have a legitimate question. How do I/should I explain to my doctors that I’m doing better bc I bought B1 + B12 injections & have been doing them without a script or supervision? I want them to prescribe them to me. How can I lead the horse to the water?

@jossyoursalad69 Pernicious anemia diagnosis here. You won’t want to have B12 tested if you’re already injecting as results will be inflated. Have you had an endoscopy with biopsy? If you show metaplasia, parietal cell antibodies or anti-intrinsicfactor antibodies are another way to test for PA.

I am seeing rheum next week. Is it a good or bad idea to mention it to her? Or should I just let her focus on the Sjogren’s symptoms and wait a whole month to see my PCP about it? Ideally in a perfect world I’d like rheum to test for pernicious anemia asap

So it turns out this was a private security firm and its license has now been suspended because of this incident. This is crazy that corrupt politicians are using private security firms to quiet their constituents but we are overreacting by saying this is fascism. Oh okay!
