@aezenics @Amaterasuuu0426 not only romantic partners are favorite people though thats most common from what ive seen. that also just isnt how personality disorders work. bpd is not curable. you can go into remission. having 1 good relationship doesnt cure anyone of anything

@bpdoka @Amaterasuuu0426 like yea i guess there’s a chance you could date someone with BPD and not be their favorite person and have a overall good relationship, but that person when visiting a psychiatrist would most likely be told they no longer fit symptoms.

People with bpd shouldn't date. Bpd is complex. U will never have a healthy relationship with them. You will end up getting emotionally abuse if u date people with bpd. It's from the lack of trust and space.

@aezenics @Amaterasuuu0426 i understand what point you were trying to make but this is kind of dehumanizing. bpd isnt hinged only on relationships. its a pattern of symptoms. untreated bpd can and does hurt relationships but risk and certainty are not the same thing as youre implying

@Amaterasuuu0426 like bpd in itself is defined as having unstable relationships. if ur able to be in a stable relationship you are now in remission and no longer meet the criteria. you are by definition not going to have an easy or happy relationship with a person with active bpd
