In honor of National School Nurse Day, we’re recognizing our amazing healthcare heroes. Our school nurses and health professionals care for the entire school population, playing a vital role in keeping students healthy and safe so they can learn and thrive.

Gov. Tim Walz and MDE Commissioner Willie Jett visited Normandale Hills Elementary today for a special Teacher Appreciation Week rally led by music teacher extraordinaire Jeff ‘Mr. Z’ Zupfer. Students, staff, and special guests sang along to several of Mr. Z’s original songs.

The district-wide Battle of the Books came down to a close finish today. Superintendent Melbye quizzed 5th graders from nine schools on details from books they read this school year. The team from Oak Grove Elementary won this year’s competition and the traveling trophy.
