@LRationis @Jantar127 Michael died as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, whose doctrine does not believe Jesus is God in the traditional Trinitarian sense. He was actually more curious about Islam than Christianity.

Michael was deeply affected by the rigid experience of the Jehovah's Witnesses and never wanted to return to an "organized cult." He preferred a personal spirituality, believing in God and Jesus, but free. People keep making up stories that he converted to Islam (especially on social media and in tabloids), but it's more myth than reality. Jermaine did convert for real, and sometimes expressed that he wished Michael had followed that path.

Dubai is constructing the world’s largest solar-powered seawater desalination plant, which will convert saltwater into drinking water for up to two million people daily using only solar energy. The Hassyan Desalination Plant is being developed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in partnership with ACWA Power and Veolia. Once completed, it will produce 818,000 cubic meters of fresh water per day, making it a landmark project in sustainable water infrastructure. The facility employs advanced reverse osmosis technology and energy-efficient systems that reduce power consumption by up to 35% compared to conventional plants. Entirely powered by solar energy, the plant will operate with zero fossil fuel use and zero direct emissions, offering a groundbreaking solution to water scarcity in arid regions. Located approximately 55 kilometers southwest of Dubai Creek, the Hassyan plant is scheduled to become fully operational by 2027. With a budget of €848 million, the project forms a key part of Dubai’s strategy to achieve carbon neutrality while securing reliable water supplies for its rapidly growing population. This ambitious initiative demonstrates how clean energy can be effectively integrated with essential public services to address future environmental and resource challenges. It's disappointing to see a reputable outlet like @TheEconomist open an article on Dubai with such a factually inaccurate claim. "Booze legal (so long as you are not Emirati or Muslim)" Reality: Alcohol is legally available in licensed venues across Dubai (hotels, restaurants, bars). No one asks about your religion or nationality when ordering. This is lazy stereotyping and outdated ignorance in 2026.

The entire season, everyone was screaming that Barcelona desperately needed a top defender, especially after Inigo’s departure, and now suddenly people are acting satisfied? WTF 😭 You do NOT win the Champions League with imbalance. You need elite quality in BOTH attack and defense. Just look at PSG -they became far more complete once they fixed their structure and defensive balance.

No, it actually makes it worse. The period when Alex Ferguson was spending heavily was also a time when most English clubs -aside from maybe Liverpool and later Newcastle- were nowhere near Manchester United financially. United had enormous financial power for decades. And even more so, the rules didn't prohibit spending on crazy signings like Rio Ferdinand, which were absurdly expensive relative to the football economy at the time. If modern FFP rules had existed back then, United would probably have been in breach of them year after year. That’s why the SAF built everything with no money narrative is massively wrong!

“UAE has no military value in war?” 😭 Ask the Yemenis who helped liberate Aden while another Gulf country got stuck for years in Northern Yemen. Ask who built and trained the strongest Southern forces that protected the South, while others were reportedly relying on foreign mercenaries and outsourced border security, such as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). And now look at the regional balance: while your country is constantly calling for de-escalation out of fear of escalation reaching them, the UAE is hitting Iran so hard, and Iran's biggest enemy isn't Saudi or even Israel, it's the UAE. That alone says a lot about the UAE's strength. The fact that you’re commenting obsessively on something that has nothing to do with your own country says everything. Assholes like you seriously need to stop this envy and jealousy toward a country that is objectively more successful, influential, and globally relevant than yours in almost every measurable way.

The truth is that it is unholy temporary marriage : Egypt needs the money badly and it is knows it is black mailed especially on its borders and water resources. But Sissi needs for money makes him accept temporary insults and even long term harm to Egypt. The UAE gets to practice napelopism with keeping Egypt silent while the UAE knows it has no military value when it comes to the war , that role is assigned to Egypt eastern neighbor, while Egypt pretends it is not their affairs.

How old are you, kid? Alex Ferguson didn't spend?! 🙄When adjusted for inflation, SAF is actually the manager who spent the most on transfers in football history, around £3.5 billion during his time at United. Right behind him is Jose Mourinho with roughly £3.1 billion spent across clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United once inflation is factored in. So the myth that SAF "built everything with kids and no spending" is one of the biggest romanticized narratives in football history 😭

@FabrizioRomano Luis Enrique is biased. He came after Pep, so praising him is praising his own inheritance. The best? Ferguson, Sacchi, Clough – all built dynasties without oil money. Pep is a system coach with unlimited funds. Great, but not the greatest. 💀
