@SouthLanCouncil @mgshanks @RutherglenRef Looks like it’s all fixed, what a an amazing job they’ve done. ( i joke of course ) but someoif having a laugh. So neither MP, local council and local newspaper care about the safety of road users, especially cyclists. @GdnScotland cc’n in as above have refused to take action

@SouthLanCouncil Have logged potholes along Carhcart Rd, Rutherglen, which run for about 322m from 76 Cathcart Rd to Berlands Place. However online form wont accept pics. Lof ref E242191 It’s perilous for cyclists in wet weather when potholes are full of water.

@joe_yer99 x.com/br_duncan/stat… Not just Glasgow. This is Cathcart Road, in Rutherglen. The whole of the road is chipping. Reported twice over 2 weeks ago and still no change. Far worse when it’s been raining.
Bryan@br_duncan

@SouthLanCouncil @mgshanks @RutherglenRef Just walked along the rest of Cathcart Rd, the whole of the road from jnc of Harriet St right up to Curtis Ave , is in bad need of repair, and not the same Rice Krispie coating it got the last time. As a frequent cyclist along this road, it fills me with dread how it now looks.

@SouthLanCouncil @mgshanks @RutherglenRef I’ve reported this twice with no meaningful improvement, and even had to use X as your form won’t accept iPhone images. This needs urgent attention before someone is injured. Temp fixes are not working. Please prioritise a proper repair and confirm timescales. @WeAreCyclingUK

@SouthLanCouncil @mgshanks @RutherglenRef 1/2 Multiple potholes filled with water (depth hidden) and loose chippings along the edges are making this road hazardous—especially for cyclists. We’re forced to choose between hitting unseen defects or moving into live traffic.

ℹ️ From 1 July this year ScotRail is introducing a £10 minimum fare for people who purposely board without a valid ticket. If that’s you, then use the next three months to get into the habit of buying a ticket before you board one of our trains. Staff will be reminding you about this throughout an education period until July, so nobody will be charged until then. Check out all the details, including exemptions, in this article. scotrail.co.uk/about-scotrail…

Quite possibly the greatest ever call to a radio show. The Herring family speak to Andy Goldstein & Jason Cundy on @talkSPORT.

@mgshanks the actual times of the clocks are all different its not a great advert , The town hall tower especially when the clocks were lit up has always been a beacon from miles. Sad that times have been wrong for some time ( excuse the pun )

@br_duncan Yes, but it's taking time to do it (pardon the pun). The flag is fixed, but clock is the next challenge.

@batcountry1980 💯 - makes no sense, that they wouldn’t put on more serving staff = more sales.

@br_duncan If it’s down to the team running the show that’s just as bad, if not worse. They know how much the tour is making, so they should be making the experience as memorable as possible, lowering prices and putting on adequate staff.

Oasis were fantastic last night. Here’s a quick rundown of 2 negatives, 6 positives, and 1 that’s a bit of both. Negatives: 1. The facilities at Murrayfield were a disgrace. Endless queuing, and for the ticket prices there should have been five times the bars and toilets. It’s an Oasis gig, for Christ’s sake, there’s obviously going to be heavy drinking going on. Yet fans were stuck waiting forty minutes for a can to be poured into a plastic tumbler, and charged seven quid for the pleasure. 2. The support. I only heard one song by Cast, who I’m pretty indifferent to. But, I walked back into the concert at the worst time during Richard Ashcroft, just as he was starting the turgid The Drugs Don’t Work( if they don’t, someone should tell the guys I was with) then into the horrific Lucky Man, the horrendous Sonnet, before Bittersweet Symphony, which he introduced with “this is one of the greatest songs ever written” Now, i suppose, on a sliding scale everything is technically one of the greatest songs ever written. But, hearing this one with the string sample virtually missing really brought home how much its brilliance relies on the work of someone else, no matter what Ashcroft claims. He then left the stage telling us “enjoy a night with the greatest rock n roll band on earth” I thought we were here to see Oasis, not The Stones?

@is_glasgow New buildings dont need be +10 stories let alone +30. Especially in the city centre. Already turning in a shaded and grey/dull environment. Can be felt down Candleriggs especially where the new buildings on Argyle st now blocking, what used to be amazing sun trap spaces.
