𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘆: 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that your initial idea is golden, but the truth is, the best creators know that this is just the starting point. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮, 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗻. Yes, ten. To be honest, even ten is on the low side but let’s start with the low-hanging fruit lol. This might sound excessive to you if you’re not currently doing this, but here’s why it’s so powerful: It simply pushes you beyond the obvious and forces you to explore different angles, topics, and formats. This is usually where the good stuff is. - Think of it like creating an album. When artists are in this process, they don’t just write a few tracks, they write dozens, and then carefully select the best ones. The same principle applies to YouTube. By generating a range of ideas, you give yourself the opportunity to scrutinize, compare, and merge them, ultimately choosing the strongest concept for your next video. The reason is simple: 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. By generating a volume of ideas, you increase your chances of finding the one that truly makes for a great video. - I remember when I watched the Lex Friedman and Mr. Beast podcast last year where Jimmy recommended coming up with loads of ideas with no filter. Don’t even think about if it’s doable until later; focus on whether it would make for a good video: 𝗟𝗲𝘅: One of the questions is, is this even doable? Right? 𝗠𝗿. 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁: Yeah. First off, come up with ideas you think would do well, and then ask yourself later if they’re doable. Yeah. Because there are different ways you can accomplish something. - 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀. By comparing and contrasting different concepts, you refine your thinking and sharpen your creative instincts, which will make this entire process easier over the long term. So, the next time you’re brainstorming video ideas, don’t stop at the first one. Push yourself to come up with ten.
