Huge news out of LIV Golf. Smash GC is no more. OKGC is the future. It makes total sense for a league focused on a “Global” market to put down roots in Oklahoma. Oklahomans will love traveling to Singapore and Saudi Arabia to support Gooch and squad.

@BenColeyGolf there's close to a 0.00% chance Bryson plays on LIV in 2027. Rahm isn't far behind. Brooks and Reed already gone - others (notably Chacarra) left and it looks like a great decision. but sure, congrats on the Rippers commitment.

Just imagine if a player said ‘all PGA Tour members are committed to the tour’. Wouldn’t we say… how do you know, mate? The idea Lucas Herbert (and Westwood and Poulter last night) can speak to the commitment of Bryson, let alone 50 other players… well it seems naive at best.

Over the last few days I’ve spoken directly to more than 20 players and 4 captains on the LIV Golf League. Despite the negativity from outside, they understand the potential challenges ahead, and almost have a siege mentality to rally around each other. There was a player meeting at LIV Golf Mexico City where sources have shared the positivity expressed by senior players like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm. Speaking on Monday following Jon Rahm’s win at Club de Golf Chapultepec, Lucas Herbert of Ripper GC told Flushing It Golf: “All the players are comitted to the league. They have had ample opportunities to leave if they want to but they are still here. Whether they are satisfied with what the organisation is doing and what it is right now or not, they are sticking by it with optimism and belief that collectively we can build it into something we can all be proud of; A highly competitive tour that goes all over the world.” When asked if he has faith in CEO Scott O’Neil, he said: “I don’t know who else I would want to run this business if I couldn’t have Scott. In 18 months he’s learned a lot about golf, as I don’t think he had previously been involved in golf, which is actually great because he brings a different mindset to the business rather than someone who’s been stuck in golf forever. “He elevated the brand a lot in the most recent offseason. I think the TV product is so much easier to look at and understand for people who haven’t watched a lot of LIV Golf and getting them to understand the individual and team sides of things. It’s a lot of information, but they have restructured it really well. “I think Scott speaks really well and is happy to have conversations with anyone. He’s honest with us as players. He owns his mistakes when he rarely makes them and takes ownership of the things he needs to address and improve within the business. He’s the perfect guy for what we need.” This is an opinion shared by every player I have spoken to. They are fully aware of the league’s position, and believe they have the right man at the helm to steer the ship in the best direction. LIV Golf yesterday announced a return to Mexico City next season, joining Riyadh, Hong Kong, Adelaide and South Africa as committed venues on the 2027 league schedule. There’s much debate in media circles about whether the league will even exist next year. But when asked what he has to say to the Australian fans about the prospect of returning to Adelaide next season, Lucas echoed the famous meme from the Wolf of Wall Street: “I’m not fucking leaving.” @rippergc_ @livgolf_league

@Top100Rick You all make it so easy to hate Americans. So selfish imagine not having any decent golf in your country and once you finally get it you have this arrogant country that just shits on it every day. So sad!

The true impact of LIV’s arrival is starting to be realized by the PGAT. Two great events gone from the calendar & a massive number (500 quoted) of staff cuts imminent. There’s a lot of “we won” going on in CGM land, but at what cost?

🗓️🌺❌ #OFFICIAL — The PGA TOUR officially cuts Sentry TOC & Sony Open from its calendar; will no longer stage tournaments in Hawaii.

@Luke_Elvy I’ve come to the conclusion that Americans are just shit people! They don’t want anyone else to enjoy anything they want it all to themselves and the rest can kick rocks. Not a nice specie of human at all really.

Anthony Kim was universally adored. How dare they say you're playing bad when you're playing bad. Here he's using his daughter as a prop for clicks. You know how sometimes they say a guy is a better person than a player? Not this time.

@RiggsBarstool Why is the only guy who didn’t hit driver off the tee the only one who hit a fairway? Why do the player profiles look like a Key and Peele sketch? Why is Hatton wearing under armor sleeves and spandex shorts?

@RiggsBarstool Why are they wearing shorts? Why does every green sound like a night club? Why does the play by play guy sound like he is calling a soccer match?

@MrNegative33 @chambleebrandel I think he talks about the humangous choke by both Rahm and Bryson! Everyday the LIV faithful talk about how great these players are. They were separated by 5 shots with 1 rd to play and they both lost. Why isn’t this a story too? The LIV faithful don’t want to talk about that!

This isn’t a time to bicker over the Battle of the Tours. This is the time to appreciate a truly remarkable story of perseverance. Anthony Kim was one of my favorite players as a kid. Then he disappeared and re-emerged more than a decade later looking like a completely different person. Today he's showing us that DOG is still in there. Big time.

@Daniel_Rapaport Although the broadcast just said this is a greater comeback than Ben Hogan... Also implying the 2019 Masters. I love AK and this is awesome to watch, but that's a bad take.
