@MNHTRN2022 @jordynbtw Detroit will get pro women’s hockey before NCAA D-I because it’s easier to do. Adding women’s hockey at a university is a multi-year process requiring a board to sign on, money to be spent, etc. First step is a feasibility study, which Michigan just did in the last 2 years.

@bkoo Women’s Frozen Four (all three games) should be on a main ESPN channel and ESPN+. The entire tournament is on ESPN+ *until* the final which is stupid. I could watch the entire tournament, except for the finals, because I don’t have ESPNU.

@bkoo I’ve actually never understood why they don’t combine the media deals and put them all in the same place. Men’s and women’s games on ESPN’s networks, CBS, and the Turner channels (TBS, TNT, TruTV).

I don't have a good solution but I hope ESPN and NCAA can find a way to make this last weekend less congested. Men's tourney takes up most of the oxygen and that harms viewership for: - Women's tourney - Women's Frozen Four (championship on ESPNU?) - Men's Wrestling Championship. All of these events could do a lot better with some better/more thoughtful spacing imo
