I loved Ben Kindel in last year's draft, but he fell out of the top 10 because he's not 6'2".
Yet, he put up 35 points in 77 games as an 18-year-old in the NHL for the Pens.
You can look at Cole Hutson in 2024, Zach Benson in 2023, and Lane Hutson in 2022 as other examples.

@NHLFlyers Cant fault the org for making an AHL depth signing, esp since G is a pos. of weakness within our prospect system. I'm not impressed w/ what I've seen from Koly, but he's still 24 y/o. Maybe he finds his game & becomes an NHL G someday. Zavragin is likely to take his place in a yr

I get that being on the brink of getting swept in the playoffs make some of you emotional right now.
But I can't take you seriously if you think Travis Konecny sucks or isn't worth his cap hit.
Every team in the NHL would take him and his contract in a heartbeat. #Flyers

@jbaraldi11 They have plenty of assets to deal. I'm not saying Konecny is untouchable, but there are an alarming number of people (on here) who are:
- trying to run him out of town
- think he's a 3rd liner at best
- think he's overpaid

@bradleyc4 If he’s someone that’s always going to break down around playoff time, can he actually be someone you build around or is he more of a high level complimentary piece?
Because IMO a guy you build around is someone you can rely on come playoff time.

Travis Konecny puts everything on the line every single night and has been close to a PPG player for over 5 years now. His style of play + his size means that he's going to break down by the end of the year, which leads to lackluster playoff stats.

To summarize the evening: the mob came to a Synagogue, forced a Jewish day care to close early, came with a Hezbollah flag, cheered for intifada, and said "we don't want no Zionists here". We cannot normalize this behavior.
