@bobpockrass Do you think Gabehart’s departure from JGR had anything to do with the strategy calls from the driver seat of the 54 at Watkins Glen? Told Ty they had strategy and to just drive. They gave him the pit stop he asked for from 10th position and he finished 33rd.

It's inevitable the NFL eventually follows through and expands its season by week. The byproduct of such a move is the Super Bowl landing on the Sunday of President's Day weekend -- Daytona 500's traditional date.

Today was a setback, but I'd hate for the outcome of the race to discourage Goodyear/NASCAR from experimenting further with the NextGen tires. Let's not lose sight of the strides we've made with the short track product (courtesy of Goodyear) because of one bad race. #NASCAR
