It can’t be stressed enough…the Tandy start is the gold standard for coupling energy in a dive. While it requires some flexibility, it helps a swimmer produce great velocity off the start. Notice how the head drives down with the arms and the hips are slightly flexed, which ‘pops’ them up, allowing the legs and the feet to disappear into the water where the hips enter. This minimizes drag and carries your velocity into the water.
Are you coupling off the start like the infamous @bradtandy02 ?
