Growing Heyo to $100 MRR: 102%
Slowed down A LOT after launch.
I still get new signups every day, and a few of them upgrade
I haven't done much marketing for it. What brought traffic to the app was:
- Posting new features on X (= not real marketing, even tho it's easily 60% of the traffic)
- The "Powered by Heyo" in the free version
- Word of mouth (0 control over it = not marketing)
- Adding the app to directories (This time I used @CichyKrzysztof service cause I'm lazy lol, but still more a one-time thing than real marketing)
Now the issue is that it's not a product suitable for ads (low LTV + commodity product), and I can't really make content about it for SEO etc.
So I have no "real" way of marketing it.
I made a good product, users love it, but I don't see a path toward "real" growth IMO (I might be wrong tho)
The main goal I had when launching it was to learn more about making better products and talking with users. And in this regard, it's a success! I didn't expect it to make any $.
Not every product can be a $1,000,000 product, and it's ok
Since it still gets traffic and signups everyday, I will mainly focus on improving conversion, onboarding, making a better product, etc.
I have another product I'm working on (bigger + growable via ads), so it's nice to have a more "chill" product to go with it!
