Not that you asked, but if you ever wondered if you should watch a Thursday Night Football game I have a gauge for you called the Family Man-O-Meter. There are 4 quadrants to the meter, each with a TV dad to represent them.

I asked Tom Izzo about the viral clip of Charles Barkley defending his coaching style by saying people have gotten too soft. Izzo: "Now we're supposed to just hug and kiss everybody... Accountability is going to be big until I leave."

Here’s what I want someone to do. Find on the record, 10 NBA stars who told their teams they didn’t want to play when healthy. People trot this “they had to implement the rule cause stars didn’t want to play” but I haven’t seen one name attributed to it. Call em out.

"There's a reason that the 65-game rule had to be implemented" @adaniels33 reacts to the NBPA statement about why the rule needs to be "abolished" due to Cade Cunningham's potential postseason award ineligibility with @WorldWideWob Full show below: sxm.app.link/GiveandGoListen

The Hockey Hall of Fame has spoken out and Jack Hughes will NOT be happy. The Hall of Fame is not giving the puck back, telling @espn it was "never" his to own.

Some across the realm are scribing complaints in regards Jon Snow's historic performance during the "Battle of the Bastards." One anonymous knight said - "He should have stopped at 81 kills out of respect to Aegon the Conquerer, who killed in a much more ethical manner."

Bruh said he didn’t want the job almost a year ago. If yall don’t remember nothing else from this account remember this: “The game is the game.” Avon Barksdale. Seems like JC knows how to play it better than most at the NFLPA.

The Board of Player Representatives has elected JC Tretter to lead the NFLPA as the union's fifth executive director. He previously served as NFLPA president from 2020 to 2024. Read more: nflpa.com/press/nflpa-bo…

Random but the @NFL should take the Ravens first round pick this year for backing out that trade.

Dr. Lemma
Dr. Lemma@DoctorLemma·
19 years ago, a high school basketball coach put his team manager into a game for the final four minutes. The kid had never played a single minute of competitive basketball in his life. He scored 20 points. Jason McElwain was diagnosed with severe autism at age two. He didn’t speak until he was five. He couldn’t chew solid food until he was six. He wore a nappy for most of his early childhood. As a baby, he was rigid, wouldn’t make eye contact, and hid in corners away from other children. He tried out for his school basketball team every year and got cut every time. Too small. Too slight. Barely 5’6 and about 54 kilograms. But he loved the game so much that his mum called the school and asked if there was any way he could be involved. The coach created a team manager role for him. For three years, McElwain showed up to every practice and every game. He wore a shirt and tie on match days. He ran drills, handed out water, kept stats, and cheered every basket like he’d scored it himself. On 15 February 2006, the last home game of his final school year, the coach let him suit up in a proper jersey and sit on the bench. With four minutes left and a comfortable lead, the coach sent him in. His first shot missed. His second missed. Then something shifted. He hit a three-pointer. Then another. Then another. His teammates stopped shooting entirely and just kept passing him the ball. He hit six three-pointers and a two-pointer. 20 points in four minutes. The highest scorer in the game. When the final buzzer went, the entire crowd rushed the court and lifted him onto their shoulders. His mum tapped the coach on the shoulder, in tears. “This is the nicest gift you could have ever given my son.” McElwain won the ESPY Award for Best Moment in Sports that year, beating out some of the biggest names in professional sport. He’s 36 now. He works at a local supermarket, coaches basketball, has run 17 marathons including five Boston Marathons, and travels the country speaking about never giving up. When asked about that night, his coach still gets emotional. “For him to come in and seize the moment like he did was certainly more than I ever expected. I was an emotional wreck.”

The refs are just as culpable for what happened as the players. They had TWO opportunities to blow their whistle and asses fouls. I assume they were ready to go home and just let whatever happen.

Here's what went down: -Scotty Pippen Jr. and Myron Gardner fight for a rebound, SPJ tosses Gardner (physical but fine) -SPJ hits a 3, Gardner delivers a cheap shot to the back well after the shot is away -Pippen wants all the smoke down (rightfully so) Never seen SPJ like that
