When I submitted his team I thought he was gonna come at me but he just smiled and asked who the hell i was.

We were home from mar 04- July 04. He went out a bought a new Chevy trailblazer. He was habitually pulling up at the last second for PT. The first day he has it the team sergeant asked if he borrowed his girlfriend’s car. Aaron says no I bought it last night. Tm Sgt says oh it looks like a soccer mom car. Someone went and bought a soccer ball ⚽️ magnet for the back. 3 weeks later when he first saw it we were doing SFUAC and he gets out wearing a schmedium under armor shirt. Tm Sgt says first you steal your gfs car now you’re wearing her clothes to work. He was known as Soccermom from then on. When he got killed the call over the radio was Soccermom is KIA. Battalion called trying to figure out who Soccermom was.

Today we Remember Special Forces 18D SSGT Aaron N. Holleyman, who was KIA August 30th 2004 in support of OIF near Iraq. Holleyman was assigned to 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, KY. His awards include the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. "Aaron loved what he was doing. It really was close to his heart. He felt proud to be doing what he was doing. From the way everything has happened and his attitude, he's just our hero" said his family. Rest easy Hero 🇺🇸

@MilitaryCooI He was a great guy! When I was a private we became friends in Aco 1/505. My first encounter with him was when he told his team of 3 men to “ball me up” it ended with them giving up and me submitting them. After special forces selection he would come back and visit often! Miss u
