Jim Jordan talks about the "Enoch Factor" - the "Enoch" being the son after whom Cain named the first city (Gen 4:17). Jim's point: In the Bible, the wicked make cultural and technical progress before the righteous do. Cain's descendants innovate - they build cities, mine metals, invent musical instruments, domesticate animals. Yet this is by the Lord's design: As the Proverb says, the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Another way to state the Enoch pattern: Our technical progress outruns our maturity. We invent things long before we know how to use them well. The upshot: Expect new technologies to be abused, and don't panic. Cain won't control the technologies forever.

(3) Be disciplined to set your standard on the holiness and righteousness of who God is and what He is like, the Holy Spirit will bear great fruit in our life with the result of calibrated hearts that love God and consequently, love what He loves and hate what he hates.

(2) A genuine love (For God and others) will hate what God hates or love what God loves. The real question is are our hearts calibrated around what God loves and hates, is our standard in all of life the holiness and righteousness of God.

(1) My observations, Christians are ok and supportive of Romans 12 and its calling over our life. I question though if Christians are on board with 𝘼𝙗𝙝𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡; 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙. If we did, our hearts and lives would be changed

They are God's appointed servants and we are loving them and our neighbor when we pray to God for them to do right.

Kings are to be wise, serve the LORD with fear and trembling, kiss the Son less He be angry with them and people are blessed when they take refuge in Christ. It is good and proper to pray for leaders to seek righteousness and justice (and that being of God's standard not mans).

I don't know the details of the USA, NATO, Ukraine, and Russia, but it appears US made missiles hit Russia. It is a good time to pray for the world.

(9) Men, get discipline, get wisdom, and get to work. God can and will use you for great things.

(8) I have established a good foundation of discipline throughout my life and week. It allows me to come home and be present and engaged with the family at the end of the day. It has allowed me to become more efficient with all I do.

(1) The theme I have wanted for 2024 is discipline. In almost all conversations I have with the teenage boys or men I talk with or counsel, the need for self-discipline and control is one of the most pressing needs.
