@RodneyMarshall1 I had the pleasure of seeing her at The Avengers @ 50 event. She was delighted and delightful on the day- she simply exuded warmth for The Avengers and for those of us who loved the series. What a loss of a wonderful person.

Sad to hear that the very first Avengers girl - Julie Stevens - has passed away. She played nightclub singer and reluctant Steed helper Venus Smith & was in the very first episode my dad wrote. Stevens sung as well as acted in each of her six episodes, each recorded 'as live'. 🙏

Eric Saward should have been allowed to leave Doctor Who after Season 22 to make a show about Lytton. It would have been genuinely great and he would have left Doctor Who on a high.

@Superbokka Blake's 7's theme music was written by composer Dudley Simpson, and any echoes were probably from his decade on Dr Who.

Watching a Dr Who blu ray and who’s this pilchard from twenty years ago. He’s got opinions.

@pitchblacksteed ... they get to play the fool and mastermind respectively here before swapping later. It's also more of an ensemble than the later series, with the supporting cast getting lengthy scenes without the central trio to support them. Elspet Grey in particular is a comic revelation.

Poor old series 1 #Blackadder often gets a battering on here. I started this page because of my admiration for that series. It’s clear many fans hate it, some tolerate it and those with good taste love it. I say it’s a masterpiece. Fans, send me some love for S1.

I was put off watching The Avengers for years, as a Dr Who guidebook said its '60's whimsy' made it unwatchable these days. But having just watched S5, it's so not true. It's so full of wit and style and energy and constantly inventive. Love it!
