If you're looking for HIGH quality entertainment... join me and Producer Sherri on "Talk Shop Live" tonight at 7p ET.
We'll be talking about my new book, "Living Unoffended"--which is about walking out a life of peace and radical forgiveness in a world that's, you know... insane.

@DouthatNYT Self-promotional (my apologies) but it has quietly sold 100k copies and that’s possibly a good sign, too

This is a good corrective to an overhyping of "masculinism" based on Joel Webbon's 100K followers, but one reason to pay attention to the influencers is that younger men/women are coming of age in a very different environment than @michaelbd and I did.

Can’t say it enough , but far far too much angst and energy is spent trying to analyze or measure the influence of a few thousand social media personalities across the right. The GOP, even its populist form, is made up of the Mini Van People nationalreview.com/2026/03/the-av…

@TheAlanNoble True but I also believe I will be reunited with my points in Elysium

@what_says2929 Jesus told us, point-blank, to love our enemies. So what do you mean…? Honest question.

@branthansen I love you and the work you do. I give your Unoffendable book away. I have sought to live an unoffendable life before I read your book. I ordered your new book Living Unoffended.
I first read your book while I was preparing to teach a class called Repentance and Reconciliation.

@branthansen Did you co author Living in a post Christian world as well?

I think I'm understanding.
I'm saying it wouldn't be "sloppy," and I'm not sure if that rule of not being seen exists, or if demons are in lock-step on these things. Perhaps demons have manifest in different periods in different ways in order to deceive. It seems that way in plausible (in my view, even as a skeptic) accounts of interactions with them from people I know.
This said, I think I get it. There's no real Biblical obvious manifestation like this, that I can think of. Although angels do, and there's the weird, very physical Genesis 6 thing...?
IDK. I may not be tracking. BUT thanks for your thoughts on this stuff. Love it.

I don't think you're seeing demons as the kind of intelligence I'm talking about. Like they could have ultimate intelligence of everything in the physical world but just a moral blindness to philosophy because they are fallen.
They would have the ability to avoid the physical trajectory of any camera or witness, as appears to be the case. So all of this talk of them being so sloppy that they showed up in our clunky government's cameras, drones and satellites doesn't smell right.
I don't think they're so arrogant that they would breach the number one rule of not being seen. So much so that I think nearly all testimonies or "evidence" of demons is probably mislabeled from the get go. The most reliable labeling being the Bible and anything post Jesus would require some kind of divine authentication like a prophet, which has similar problems with authority-claims.
What is far more likely is that aliens don't exist. We can be nearly certain of this for a lot of reasons. I'm open to it, but in the same way I'm open to Bigfoot, Zodiac predictons and mermaids existing.
English

Demons are real but we have no physical evidence, photo proof of them.
Aliens are not real and we have no physical evidence, photo proof of them.
People say “aliens are demons” because deep down inside they think aliens must exist and we need an explanation for them.
Demons aren’t dumb enough to be captured or photographed and that would include if they took on the form of “aliens”.
What is far more likely is that belief in aliens is just another pagan faith and wish-casting, superstition ramped up with an internet social contagion.
Absence of evidence would also happen if nothing was there. Blurry dots don’t care about our feelings.

@RedemTheTimes Tracks with right-hemisphere damage. Seriously.

@branthansen It's hard to tell. But I'd be the first to say discipleship needs drastic improvement across UK Church. This piece was super helpful and convicting, I think... premierchristianity.com/features/dynam…
