Paramedic tests should not be made to evaluate if students can memorize information. They should be made to evaluate if students know how to use the information, and where to find it if they need to look it up.

Took a pre-alert for a young COVID patient. We approached them the same way we do with all patients (empathy, humour, reassurance) They said “aren’t you guys scared??” It caught me out (we still are scared), because we must be pretty good at hiding that nowadays, I guess.
