• Team Leader Tuesday • Jack Braswell ‘27 led the 2026 team with a 2.66 ERA. (Min 15 IP) Jack struck out 27 in 26.1 innings and earned 2 wins. In his last start of the season, he threw a 1-hit complete game shutout in the first round of the state tournament vs. Plainfield.

•Team Leader Tuesday• Andrew Schmieder ‘29 led the 2026 team with a .359 batting average. (Min. 50 ABs) Andrew had 23 hits and walked 18 times for a .518 OBP. He also scored 23 runs, drove in 15, and stole 7 bases.

•Team Leader Tuesday• Nick Spirra ‘27 led the 2026 squad with 33 hits. He hit .337 with 5 2Bs, 1 HR, and 22 RBIs. He also scored 22 runs and walked 14 times.

Coach Newill’s parents were happy to welcome Matthew Fattore ‘24 and Michael Fattore ‘23 to dinner last night in Greenville, NC. The brothers are in Greenville this summer to play for the Greenville Yard Gnomes (@YardGnomes) of the Coastal Plain League. Matthew and Michael play collegiately at Belmont Abbey College.
