Still on cloud 9 after we won the state championship Friday. So thankful for this team, coaches, admin and this community. A lot of expectations going into this season and so thankful our players put in the work and answered the call to be CHAMPIONS. This graphic was too funny not to share. I was for sure handed the keys to a Ferrari but we had to change up the fuel intake to run on straight DIESEL. Not only a personnel package but also a mentality attached that we couldn’t be denied when it hit the field. First year as a play caller and couldn’t have asked for a better staff to help build the system I had envisioned over my career. Many late nights and early morning putting this system together to fit our skill sets and help our players succeed. Thank you SS for this opportunity, and time to get to work for 2026. Been a lifelong tradition of the family getting together for the first OU game of the year. With me coaching college football it’s always been hard to attend more than that. So blessed to be in a position now where I can spend more time with my family, enjoying a Sooner football game. Pop Pop has been bringing me since 1999 and now I get to spend some with him and return the favor. So blessed and thankful. Thank you God. BOOMER! ❤️🙏✝️
