@AdamSchefter @PeteThamel There's already precedent regarding this. He literally bet on his OWN team...hope they would lose so he could win money. I wouldn't even want him on my team. Do the crime accept the time.

Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby, who is under NCAA investigation for making bets via a gambling app, has retained the noted lawyer Jeffrey Kessler to try to regain his college eligibility, sources tell me and @PeteThamel. If Sorsby and Kessler are unsuccessful in finding a path to eligibility, declaring for the NFL’s supplemental draft then would become an option. Sorsby would have until June 30 to declare for the supplemental draft.

With the final pick of Thursday night’s first round, the Seahawks selected Notre RB Jadarian Price. There never had been a year in which the top two running backs were selected from the same school. Now both Jeremiyah Love and Price accomplished that feat for the Fighting Irish.

@unusual_whales Griffin threatening to yank a massive Midtown tower (and the jobs that come with it) is the predictable reply. Capital doesn’t like being the prop in its own mugging.

Compare the last 10 best picture winners to the list below. Oscars used to go to great movies, watched by millions. Movie-makers used to LIKE their customers. This past decade, other than Oppenheimer, nobody saw any of these movies, made to virtue signal to left-wing elites.

@SouthportCor No point in even caring about this right now. The city will have this construction in progress for 15 years as they do with everything else.

John Lincoln Clem — one of the youngest soldiers to ever serve in the U.S. Army. Born in Ohio in 1851. His mother was killed in a train accident in 1861. Two years later, at age 9, he tried to enlist in the Union Army and was turned away for being too small. He didn’t go home. He followed the 22nd Michigan anyway and became their unofficial drummer boy. The men took him in and paid him from their own pockets. Shiloh, 1862: artillery fire tore his drum apart. From then on, they called him “Johnny Shiloh.” He officially enlisted in 1863 as a musician. Chickamauga, age 12: during the Union retreat, a Confederate officer reportedly ordered him to surrender. Clem fired a sawed-off musket and made it back to Union lines through the chaos. Gen. George H. Thomas later promoted him to sergeant, making him one of the youngest non-commissioned officers in Army history. Newspapers dubbed him the “Drummer Boy of Chickamauga.” He was wounded, captured, exchanged, and mustered out at just 13. Most kids would be done. Clem wasn’t. Ulysses S. Grant later helped him secure a commission. Clem stayed in the Army for decades in quartermaster roles, rising steadily through the ranks. He retired in 1915 as a brigadier general. Congress advanced him to major general on the retired list the next year. He was buried with full honors at Arlington. From runaway kid to general officer. Stories like this are why Civil War history still hits hard. What’s another real military underdog story people should know? 🇺🇸

In India, they brag about how Google and other tech companies are dumping American workers and moving those jobs to India. If you think this is about 'talent' - you're ignorant. This is PURE labor arbitrage. I'm curious, why is it a problem when a U.S. manufacturing company moves its factory offshore but moving the entire U.S. tech sector to India is just fine?????

In his three and a half hour conversation with Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Summers in 2013 former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak also provides an intriguing insight into the racist nature of the Israeli state. "What's the future of Israel?" asks Summers. Barak believes Israel needs to wake up "before it is too late." The country, he says, is drifting "along the slippery slope to a one state nation .... with an Arab majority." The solution? - "To break the monopoly of the orthodox Rabbinate on marriage and funerals and whatever and the definition of a Jew, and accept .... massive conversion into Judaism. In a successful country, many will apply." In that way "we can control the quality much more effectively." Unlike the founders of Israel who had to accept people "from North Africa, from the Arab ... now we can be selective."
