@amactraderz $RIVN is nowhere near its all time low. That value is about $8.26 which occured in April 2024. Rivian has actually done quite well as a startup. I dont know where you are getting the "everybody is at ATH" from. More than 60% of stocks are in bear territory.

@ben__investing So with 8.3% CAGR, you need to be extremely carefully when it now has about 54% return from its April 2025 lows. A significant drawdown is to be expected soon.

I’m 25 years old. 80% of my portfolio is the S&P 500. Am I being too cautious? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Should I make any changes? 🤔

@ben__investing Thats bad. I dont see why people invest in index funds particularly the S&P 500. The CAGR on this fund is about 8.3% (minus dividends) in d last 94 years, this is even from its all time low of May 1932. If you have to, then go with nasdaq 100 at least that has 15% CAGR from 1985

@lukeakehurst So you couldn't refute the main point that the Starmerites are no different from Reform except to point out a minor point about the number of Trade unions that have left. At this stage the starmerites are only de-cluttering a cabin on their Titanic ship.

A central premise of this article is utter nonsense. It claims that Labour's formal links with the unions have reduced over time. In fact only 2 smaller unions have disaffiliated permanently: RMT in 2004 and BFAWU in 2021. FBU has left but come back. The number of Labour affiliated unions is only lower because of decades of mergers. The teaching and civil service unions were never affiliated.
The New Statesman@NewStatesman

"The question is not whether Labour values have been usurped by Starmer’s faction. It is what kind of party could be built out of the corpse of Starmer’s party. One option is clearly a more Blairite party: pro-tech giants, the US, and privatisation. But are there any serious options to create a progressive party, one that dares speak out on the issues of the day, that actually communicates with a progressive electorate? It is hard to see at the moment whether the ambition or capacity exists within it. It is worth noting that Starmer’s Party is only barely the official party of the organised working class. Whereas Labour had affiliated to it nearly every major trade union, today only just over half of union members are in party-affiliated unions. And even then some may leave. This is hardly surprising: as it stands its policies, Starmer’s Party’s political instincts, are far closer to those of the Tories and Reform than to the progressive parties that are eating it up. And that is not accidental, or the result of a lack of vision. It was the whole point." Read @DEHEdgerton's obituary for Starmerism newstatesman.com/politics/labou…

@2028Lucid I feel Lucid returns much less for every dollar invested. Rivian has spun off 2 new start ups, has cross the chasm of scaling. Lucid has no startup within it and is struggling to even scale yet burns so much cash

Uber is going to be bought by Google/Waymo, Amazon or Tesla/SpaceX in the next year. For a “buy it now” price of $250b, one of those three companies gets a $12b a year free cash flow machine with $70b in revenue — and hundreds of millions of global customers This is the most obvious M&A deal since Instagram, Android and YouTube transformed Meta and Google Discuss

@LucidMotors @nuro @Uber The management is as awful as the stock to the extent that @ntwork who is supposed to be the director of communication has now restricted who can reply to his X posts. This is as hilarious as its ironic, cant take the heat from the retail investors they have burned.

@LucidMotors @usnews This is a question with no malice intended. Do you guys really think that anyone will seriously consider trading in their ICE vehicle from established brands despite you having amazing cars "seeing" that you are likely to be taken private and not survive as a public company.

@lukeakehurst If Stamer is the best the party has to offer then he will win even if Andy is in the contest, unless you dont think he is. You may say why the contest in the first place, but after the beating the party had from Reform and the Greens, i dont think its out of place to call 4 one.

Nothing that has happened today is remotely proportionate or reasonable behaviour this far out from a General Election scheduled for 2029. This level of internal game playing risks driving us into a General Election within months, as well as causing months of deep political instability that have real world consequences for the economy and national security. I am, to put it mildly, unimpressed.

@SkyNews Its obvious that Trump's America is looking east. Europe must take its destiny into its own hands bcos d Americans are disengaged or at the very least dont see Europe as a strategic and EQUAL partner. As long as Trump is d president Europe will never have a BIG seat at d table
