I keep seeing “this will be in my nightmares forever” but I don’t think it will ever eclipse the torture of November 1st 2025. I genuinely contemplated my life that day. This is a scratch compared to how that baseball game scarred me.

@RaeComm Im all for public transportation, but if you’re not in a major city, it is hard. I live 100km from Toronto. On a good day, 1-1.5 to drive. But if you hit traffic could be 3+ hours. There is a train that runs, but it’s about 50km from me, so I still need to drive about half way

I do get why Americans associate the motor car with a certain freedom. The USA is (unfortunately) built for the motor car, not for public transport. Personally feel much more “free” without a car when in Germany, Scotland, etc. And walk a lot more just as a matter of course.

@RaeComm He’s been a revelation to our program! Knows the players, knows MLS & the region intimately, is an excellent communicator & plays with an aggressive (fearless) edge. We are dominating games against teams ranked much higher than us (Uruguay), but our finishing has been wasteful.

Just an observation from far away but Jesse Marsch might have found the ideal national team job. Underdog mentality, style suits both him & Canada. Don’t ask me why but reminiscent of why Jack Charlton was the perfect fit for Ireland in the 80s/90s & vice-versa.
