The biggest mistake which will cost you the most money is expecting the markets to trend all the time. The markets are always between a trend and a range, and a trend and a range. If you miss a big move, wait for a range. If you see a range, a big move is brewing.

Expect it to be lonely. No family, No friend, No influencer, No community, Nobody cares. At the end of the day it’s you pressing the button and dealing with the consequences. Nobody’s paying for your losses when you fuck up. Nobody’s saving you. Save yourself.

Time for some sauce 🧪: As a candle trader, your focus should always be on anticipating what the next candle is likely to do. Begin by understanding the price action, then identify the range in which it is trading, as this is a crucial step. Next, mark the key levels (highs/lows are my fav) , since these HTF levels (not zones lmfao) are where reversals occur after liquidity raids. Price will generally continue in the direction of a LTF trend until it interacts with a HTF key level. Timing is equally important, as SMR flips often occur at specific times (manipulation time). The overall trend only shifts once these major levels and key times influence price.

Now that the year is over it is time to do a deep review and study of the year A few key questions I'll be asking myself for a review: -What was the biggest mistake, and the biggest positive? How can I do less of bad, and more of positive? -How did ur edge perform in 2025. good/bad objectively and relatively both, and why? -Best time of candle (and candle shape) u performed best? why? what if u restricted urself to only those? -Execution patterns? Entry early/late?, sl too small/big?, tp too small big? -Is there a rule in your system you follow that may actually be holding you back? -Did your understanding of markets deepen meaningfully? How? -Have you kept a routine that keeps you present and focused during key trading hours and allows you to switch off and recharge during low-probability conditions? Can you improve it? -What processes would improve performance (E.g., journaling, reviews, fixed entry/sl/tp) but were not implemented? Why not? What can you do to ensure you establish these going forward? -What are your goals for 2026. What systems and routines will ensure you meet these goals? -What would a better version of you, as a trader, stop doing or start doing? For study: -How consistent were daily/weekly candle lows? -Review the price legs. What if u only traded 1 htf candle at a time and pyramided on the way using market profiles? how would that affect rr? -How would you hop on an existing trend if you miss the low? -Is it even necessary to catch the low to get a high rr trade? -What is the most consistent timeframe for csd for the candle range ur trading? -What times of days, weeks, months are giving quality moves? note candle shape. -What would you do if htf level fails? -How do you even select the htf level? what are the highest quality ones? which gave the best reactions? -How did the yearly candle shapes play out and what months of year were best? how did the quarterly shifts play out? for all assets -What does ltf look like when we tap htf level and soup? -Which months of year should you have been most active? why? how can u make sure ur dialed in during those times and can take a break the rest of the time? -What was the most consistent asset? why? -Everything under the lens of po3 and turtle soup glgt boys

if theres one genuine lesson I can share from my 2025 its to please never stop being a beginner if you're too proud to be a beginner you'll never become anything more this is especially true for 'smart' people or quick learners, because they never get used to being a beginner as they progress quick and advance into being an amateur or expert in any field however in the industry we are in, this doesnt work. you can never stop being a beginner, being a learner every time you watch any material you will learn something new, even if its the 20th time. that is the beauty of trading the ideas never change but the perspective (lens) does, and perspective is everything here beginners become experts but only if they're humble enough to begin and go at it again and again forever, until you're out of the industry be a beginner. glgt and a happy new year much love
