Very happy to announce this.
The debut of the “Bret Heartbreak” project was supposed to be released on June 23rd, of 2023, consisting of songs that I recorded in the Westerville Public Library’s recording booth, of which I would walk to whenever I could.
These are songs I recorded between my shifts at jobs such as First Watch, City BBQ, and Jimmy V’s. Copyright and sampling prevented these songs from releasing, but I am proud to finally present them, just as they were when I made them.
This project was about getting my confidence back as an artist, and deciding what I wanted to do as a musician (and also, recording some very good songs)
DAYS BEFORE RANGER, the prelude to my next album, a few years late.
