I believe we have entered the endgame. For the true elites, hiding crimes is no longer a priority, either because they can't do it, or because it no longer matters. We have to decide that we will not accept a new form of slavery. And we have to be willing to die on that hill.

JFC stop repackaging old information as blood libels in order to undermine Israel, the U.S., and the current war. Hamas was founded in 1987 by the Muslim Brotherhood. Not by Israel. The $30M/month came from Qatar, not Israel. Israel only approved the transfers to avoid Gaza’s collapse. …and under U.S. pressure to do so. This is funny. I used to tell students "Answer the question I should have asked you rather than the one I did ask you." Works for a similar reason. As a Prof, you don't always know how to prompt a student any more than a user always knows how to prompt an LLM.

A World War over power and resources is ongoing. It rapidly accelerated beginning in Venezuela. Globally it is not kinetic, yet. But there are obvious kinetic hot spots. The West is being systematically demolished, demographically and through the degradation of rights and norms.

The crashing and burning of Bill Gates is one of the more spectacular turns of our age. It's hard to believe. This guy was not only the global warming guru but probably the top Covid lockdown and vaccine pundit who made bank on the whole operation. Now he is a poster child of overclass arrogance, pretense, decadence, and corruption. Amazing.

There is a lot of confusion about my meaning here. Let me clarify: "Woke" is two things, a left wing movement, and a term sometimes applied to other political forces who are claimed to behave in an analagous way. I think the people saying "woke right" are abusing the term.

We just won Missouri v. Biden. AI allows you to multitask. It can code for you, while you do research, for example. It also allows you to pull things off the back burner--objectives that were shelved for years or decades for lack of bandwidth--and complete them at a furious pace. These are superpowers.

@ToKTeacher No, it’s not meaningfully on a continuum. And yes, it/they probably aren’t conscious today. But so what?

@BretWeinstein Yes. On a continuum with the pocket calculator. And with just as much insight into what it, itself, is doing and why.

Those are fair questions. I have mudded and taped. It's among the hardest things to do well, and I don't do it in my house for that reason. But in my shop, sure. I have laid a lot of tile and am pretty good at it on a floor. I've made simple furniture, but no cabinets. I looked up "take offs" and your intuition is right, I'm no good at it. With all that in mind, I see no reason AI powered humanoid robots will not be CAPABLE of replacing ~all tradesmen within a few years. How long it will be before they ACTUALLY deploy at scale is a question of cost and supply. The limited resources involved in producing the robots will cause them to be used early where the ROI projections dictate. That part I can't guess. But the TECHNICAL capability is FAST approaching.

Think the trades are safe from AI? Think again.

@OwenBenjamin Wow, those are low odds! I’m a little hurt. As with electrical work, there are aspects of plumbing I won’t normally touch, but fewer than you might guess. And in a pinch, I’m open to anything.

Lots of people are saying I’m an academic who doesn’t understand what the trades are. But I’ve done lots of construction. Framing, roofs, doors and windows, tile, wood floors, plumbing, and electrical. I’m a master of none. But I understand them. The trades are NOT safe from AI.
