IceStaking is here to freeze the noise and melt inefficiencies. Higher yields, 100% MEV rewards, and tools to keep Solana cool under pressure. Drop a comment saying '🧊' or DM us to learn more!

I’ve been running validators on @solana for 8–9 months, and over time, I realized that just running a validator isn’t enough. There has to be a bigger purpose. Here's @icestaking_ — to support validator infra and open-source tooling🧵

Never forget to apply the 70-30 rule. Put 70% of your income in staking and the rest to lose in memecoins

Our operator @dhruvsol will be roaming the halls of @SolanaConf in NYC! Feel free to interrupt, interrogate or corner him for some validator rant (he secretly loves it). It's accelerate szn!!...

Let's settle the debate once and for all Native v/s Liquid staking For native staking • you have full authority over your keys • validators can't access your SOL • worst case is your validator underperforms, you miss out on rewards, but your funds remain the same • stake activation/deactivation takes about 1 epoch • stake a/c earn rewards every epoch and auto-compound • you can withdraw rewards w/o touching your principal • net APY is 7.5% base + ~1.2% from Jito MEV = ~8.7% (depends on validator performance + commission) For liquid staking • you get a reciept token (IceSOL, VSol, etc.) • the total value increases over time - reflecting yield • LSTs can be used in Defi • comes with protocol fees and smart contract risk • great for instant liquidity and • instant unstake is possible here • MEV rewards are also yours to have • some protocols re-delegates your SOL to maximise rewards So what's the better option? There isn't one - if you are a long term holder with big bags, then native is perfect - if you chase yield, lend/borrow, LP or be a DeFi degen, then liquid is a better fit.
