Y’ALL STILL WANNA TRADE HIM???? #PorVida

@BrianSuttererMD I assumed he was speaking more to the bedside manner of the league personnel dealing with moving him through the protocols.
English

Any other context to this? Concussion progression is always unknown so it’s hard to predict how things will go. And getting back in just 4 days is as quick as you could safely hope.
And many would argue that quick of a return isn’t safe, so not sure why he’s unhappy
Tom Orsborn@tom_orsborn
Wemby on his experience going through the NBA concussion protocols: "The way the situation was handled was very disappointing." He stressed that he wasn't referring to the Spurs medical staff.

@JMcDonald_SAEN @projectmarvelsa This isn’t like any other injury, right?
He can’t make his injury worse. As long as he passes protocol, he’s fine. The only thing that would be bad would be for him to take another shot to the head, but he can’t ‘overdo’ it, right?

Standing hallway at the Moda Centee waiting for shootaround to open.
Victor Wembanyama just jogged past us to the locker room, then jogged back to the court.
That's your update so far. #WembyWatch2026

@TylerGlasscock_ If we can’t win a series against Portland, even without Wemby, then we have no business expecting to win a championship.
Panicking now is pointless.
English

So what happens if Victor misses Games 3 and 4 and Portland goes up 3-1???
I’m not saying I don’t believe in the guys they have, but no Wemby changes the entire blueprint of this series in ways that some of the other guys physically cannot make up.
Tyler Glasscock@TylerGlasscock_
Unless by some miracle of God Wemby clears concussion protocol I don’t know how you can say the Spurs win the series.
English

@JohnchoVilla He’s literally been in that role all season. Did you not watch any games at all?

@AirAlamo 112-92. Portland shoots poorly in the first half. We have good 2nd and 3rd quarters. Lockdown defense and average offense. Large win.

@Eljanov Who is the best player, is always a fair point to discuss.
But I dislike the idea that Magnus is inactive.
He did win 3 Official FIDE World Champions within 2 months very recently.
English

@JMcDonald_SAEN The funny thing is that you could probably get a quote from Tiago saying pretty much the same stuff.
English

I was standing a foot and a half away from Wemby when he said this. I have no idea how anyone could take it as anything but a compliment.
The reading comprehension skills in this country are atrocious.
Collin Reid@CollinReidPS
“Even when they haven’t been as strong of a team as they are now, they have always been a tough play. Wow I really respect them and am not going to disrespect them as a playoff opponent” Fan of the team he complimented: “Can’t stand this pompous jerk”
English

The Spurs' starting center in that series? You guessed it ... Frank Stallone.
(No, actually it was Tiago Splitter.)
Tom Orsborn@tom_orsborn
Spurs will face Portland in the playoffs for the first time since 2014, when they beat the Blazers 4-1 in the Western Conference semifinals.
