@RealNatalieRowe The @guardian should make a FULL apology 'in public' to @Keir_Starmer and the country, because all this nonsense has deflected his work in managing this country.

Local elections have low turnouts, so whoever succeeds in getting their voters into the polling stations will do well.
That's why we have to get the maximum anti-Farage vote. The local elections will be treated as referendum. We must make sure that Farage and his billionaire and press backers are resoundingly defeated.
Please spread the message. These elections are a battle between international fascism, and democracy, freedom and human rights.

More than half of Britons support rejoining EU 10 years on from Brexit vote.
Brexit was secured with lies. It hasn't delivered any of the claimed economic benefits.
Nobody under the age of 28 had a say.
Need another referendum.

You may take that view, but it does not accord with the substance of what has actually been established. A growing number of people are simply weary of what feels like an ongoing media spectacle, where the narrative is being shaped rather than the facts being reported with proper balance.
We are now seeing further lines of questioning being introduced, extending beyond the matter at hand and drawing in other names and issues. That does little to clarify the situation and risks giving the impression that the objective is to sustain momentum rather than to reach a fair conclusion.
The essential questions have, in truth, already been addressed. The civil servant has given evidence before the Select Committee and has confirmed that the information in question was not passed on. On that basis, there is no foundation for the claim that Sir Keir Starmer misled Parliament.
At some point, there must be a degree of finality. Continuing to revisit the same ground, or to broaden the scope without clear justification, serves little purpose. Many will simply see this for what it is: another episode in a cycle of media amplification that has become increasingly tiresome.
As for the wider political context, it is evident that opposition parties are seeking to derive advantage from the situation. Whether that proves effective is another matter entirely, particularly at a time when questions are being raised about their own direction and relevance.
For most people, however, the matter is now straightforward. The facts have been set out, the answers have been given, and it is time to move on.

The reality is that in the Lebedev case the PM was both informed and advised not to proceed
With Mandelson it appears clear the PM was not informed
The bias of the media is blatant and obvious......

Sarah@timetoshine1234
Mandelson - US Ambassador. Evgeny Lebedev - House of Lords. One receiving relentless wall to wall hysterical media coverage. The other totally radio silence from the collective media; zero coverage. This level of media bias should be of concern to us all. Wake-up. FFS!

Conservative Judge J. Michael Luttig is warning that Trump is already preparing to rig the 2026 midterms, not by one single scheme but by a whole “buffet of options” to throw the election into chaos.
Think about what that menu looks like in plain English:
– Flooding the country with lies about “fraud” before a single vote is counted
– Trying to get control of voting machines and election administration
– Looking for excuses to call out troops under the Insurrection Act to intimidate and suppress
Luttig warns that if we don’t defend the system in 2026, we may not get anything resembling a real election in 2028. In other words: this is not a normal midterm. It’s a stress test of whether we still have a functioning democracy at all.

In Praise of Being Told What We Can’t Eat
I used to find European regulations mildly embarrassing. The endless directives, the committees, the solemn deliberations about cucumber curvature. It seemed like a continent-wide exercise in missing the point.
Then I looked at what was actually in my food.
More than 10,000 chemicals are permitted in the American food supply.
Nearly 99 percent introduced since 2000 were approved not by the FDA, but by the food industry itself.
Companies writing their own permission slips, essentially. The GRAS loophole, created in 1958, allows manufacturers to self-certify that their ingredients are safe. The EU has no equivalent.

The results are specific. BHT, used to extend shelf life in cereals and crackers, is banned in Europe over endocrine disruption concerns – which is why you will never find Wheat Thins here.
Bovine growth hormone, linked to elevated cancer markers, is injected into American dairy cows and banned across the EU. Standard American milk contains it unless the label says otherwise.
Potassium bromate, a probable human carcinogen, is still used in American bread.
This is not accident. Three of America’s biggest lobbying firms work for the food industry. Pepsi alone spends nine million dollars a year on lobbying. Incentives, working exactly as designed.
Europe chose the precautionary principle. Prove it is safe before it goes in. America chose the reverse. Things are safe until enough people are harmed to prove otherwise.
Throw in the right to repair, universal charging cables, and food labels a human being can actually parse – and what emerges is not bureaucratic overreach. It is a regulatory culture that decided to represent the person eating the food rather than the company selling it.
Critics can call that excessive. I call it civilization.

Since @FBIDirectorKash @Kash_Patel wants to revive the "2020 election was stolen" LIE, let's look how this played out IN COURT.
*️⃣ Rudy Giuliani - Trump's personal lawyer:
Publicly: Rudy claimed massive fraud, rigged machines, and accused Georgia election workers of ballot tampering.
In court: Rudy told a Pennsylvania judge "this is not a fraud case."
In the Georgia workers' defamation lawsuit, Rudy conceded in court filings that his statements were false and defamatory (leading to a large jury award). His team filed documents admitting the claims carried defamatory meaning.
Officially disbarred on July 2, 2024 in New York.
Officially disbarred on September 26, 2024 in Washington DC.
*️⃣ Sidney Powell - Trump's legal "Kraken":
Publicly: Powell alleged on media and at events that Dominion machines, foreign actors (e.g., Venezuela), and conspiracies stole the election.
In court: In Michigan, Powell and her team argued that fraud statements were "political rhetoric" or "rhetorical hyperbole," not literal facts a reasonable person would believe.
She later pleaded guilty in Georgia to election interference charges, including unauthorized equipment access. She faced disbarment, but was never disbarred.
*️⃣ Jenna Ellis - Trump campaign legal advisor:
Publicly: Ellis claimed in press conferences, media, and Georgia legislative hearings widespread fraud, dead voters, and that Trump was the "true victor" with provable stolen votes.
In court: Ellis pleaded guilty in Georgia to a felony for aiding false statements/writings to lawmakers —admitting the fraud claims to legislators were false or reckless.
In a Colorado bar discipline, she admitted to at least 10 knowing misrepresentations of evidence/facts about fraud.
She received a 3 year suspension on her Colorado law license which took effect July 2, 2024.
*️⃣ Kory Langhofer - Trump campaign lawyer in Arizona:
Publicly: Kory supported the broader campaign narrative of election irregularities and stolen votes.
In court: He explicitly told a Judge in a Maricopa County case, "We are not alleging fraud in this lawsuit. We are not alleging anyone stealing the election."
*️⃣ Jonathan S. Goldstein - Trump campaign lawyer in Pennsylvania:
Publicly: He was part of a team amplifying public fraud claims.
In court: When pressed by a Judge in a Montgomery County case about disputed ballots, Goldstein stated he was not accusing anyone of fraud or calling them liars, and to his knowledge, there was no fraud connected to the ballots in question.
*️⃣ Linda Kearns - Trump campaign lawyer in Pennsylvania:
Publicly: She supported the push on voting irregularities.
In court: In a related Pennsylvania hearing, she explicitly said the team was "not proceeding" on allegations of fraud.
*️⃣ Kenneth Chesebro - Trump's architect in the fake elector scheme:
Publicly: Chesebro advanced theories tied to challenging results based on alleged fraud.
In court: He pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the scheme to submit alternate electors, admitting aspects of the effort involved false or improper actions.
*️⃣ John Eastman - Trump's author on fake electors:
Publicly: Eastman pushed legal theories implying widespread issues with the election results.
In court: In court filings and his Georgia indictment, his underlying fraud assertions were not substantiated with evidence when scrutinized.
Eastman faced disciplinary trials for his role in promoting challenges based on fraud claims.
Officially disbarred on April 15, 2026 in California.
*️⃣ Other Trump campaign/state lawyers:
Multiple attorneys signed court documents explicitly stating "Petitioners do not allege, and there is no evidence of, any fraud" in connection with challenged ballots, despite the Trump campaign's public messaging.
Courts (including Trump-appointed judges) dismissed over 60 cases for lack of evidence in attempting to prove widespread voter fraud.
In other words, DO NOT BELIEVE @FBIDirectorKash @Kash_Patel bullshit!!

@KemiBadenoch Hey Kemi you chose to have in your shadow cabinet someone who was sacked twice for breaching the ministerial code. Perhaps you're not the best person to preach high standards in office.

Has Nigel Farage sacked tax dodger Richard Tice? No
Has Kemi Badenoch sacked Nick Timothy for racist comments or Priti Patel over Andrew/Epstein? No
Keir Starmer sacked Peter Mandelson eight months ago.
