PRDs are dead.

I honestly cannot believe how much code I have shipped today. I think today has been probably one of the most productive days. Last 48 hours, 80 PRs. My workflow is absolutely changed. This is not the type of engineering I'm used to. And I don't say this lightly. I have written hundreds of open source software. I think I have like over a thousand GitHub repositories. this is a huge step function. I'm really excited about this new workflow. I can't wait to share.

Dropped the phrase "product slop" today in a call — when teams can ship so much more at 100x the speed, the risk of bloated, feature-dense but unfocused experiences quickly becomes a concern. "More things faster" is rarely a recipe for excellence. When it takes weeks to ship, you justify every feature. When it takes hours, you ship everything. Why not? It feels like progress and momentum, right? When the cost to build something was higher, and took more time, the need to justify the build and ensure it was oriented to mission and incrementally valuable (aka the *right thing* to build) helped mitigate this. With the cost and time effectively dropping to zero (I can code a complete product feature tonight after dinner) — everything changes about how we build high-quality products. Judgement and taste become the constraint. Unsurprisingly, I believe design plays an even more critical role in this new world than ever.

Michael Mann’s Heat 2 is facing resistance from Warner Bros. due to its $170M budget, prompting the studio to seek a co-financing deal with Apple. Leonardo DiCaprio has been in talks with Mann about a role — if he joins, the film is expected to move ahead.
