I heard Desktop Claude was bad but didn't realize it was this bad. I can't even sign into my account because it wasn't created with Google. Wtf?? @claudeai

to give a bit more info: /init helps setup your Claude Code config in a new or existing repo (Claude.MD, hooks, skills, etc) once you start Claude with the flag above, you just need to run /init in the repo of your choice

@joseph_h_garvin If you want to stay native: 1. Create a huge task list file 2. Ask claude to complete the task list by issuing a subagent to pick the next task until all tasks are completed People will tell you that you need a larger orchestration system because they want to sound smart

Claude code rarely runs for longer than 15m without stopping and asking for input from me. How do all these stories of people letting agents run overnight work? Custom harnesses? Yelling at Claude in all caps to keep going no matter what?

Sorry for posting this again, I'm still processing it: It'd cost >>> $743k per year <<< to run Opus-4.6 fast-mode nonstop Literally my company cannot afford a single person using it for daily coding. And that's a shame because the experience is truly magical. I've spent the last 2 days using it on Pi (nearly $500 gone 💀), and it was the first time I kinda got into the flow state while using an agent, because the feedback is just so fast. This is not something I ever experienced before, definitely not with GPT 5.4's own fast mode. I can't wait for this kind of super fast, super high intelligence to be available for a reasonable cost...

@VictorTaelin @DmitriyAll I've been using it the last day or 2. Coming from claude code. It's not crashed on my but I will say it has less features than the IDE

This is the most annoying thing in Claude Code. Hiding raw text when you paste more than 4 lines. Terrible UX decision.

@aarondfrancis I don't like native work trees. But a small wrapper script which puts my work tree in a sibling folder means all my folders are names after their branches and makes navigation really easy between them. Here is my script github.com/woweow/wt/blob…

Why do people like git worktrees over discrete checkouts? (This isn't bait, it's research)

@t31kx I simply rewrote my ralph.ts file to take an arg for if I want to use codex or claude. I'm on the $20/month subscription for both and never run out of usage!

@trq212 Be opinionated: - Include specific verbiage like "in this file, favor brevity over grammar" - Do not show project file structure (too fluid/verbose, agent can see this itself easily when necessary)

I want to make /init more useful- what do you think it should do to help setup Claude Code in a repo?

Genuinely how are you supposed to get viewership on this platform? 1 single impression in 45 minutes what is the point of making a post?

I wanted to try out Convex so I created a simple global game similar to /r/place from back in the day. It would mean the world if you checked it out and clicked a few squares! gridwars.dev

@bcherny @trq212 At SoFi we're trying to get insights into plugin info inside the org. Can more robust plugin information be added to hooks for command, skills, agents etc? Best we have right now is the plugin's name prefixes the skill e.g. "team-tools:explore".

@RhysSullivan Hey @RhysSullivan , giving your loop another loop I see you are using --continue after turn 1. Looks like you're making the choice to auto-compact in favor of continued state. I presume you prefer this vs burning token re-orienting from a fresh state on every Ralph loop? Curious

i had opus credits to burn so i recreated github with instant navigation and the ui that i would want you can use it today fastergh.com, most of your workflow should work on it, private repos are supported, and it's open source

@ctatedev Can you help me understand the "AI" part of this? It looks like its a renderer for JSON. Is the point that AI can write JSON easily so it doesn't need to figure out components?

json-render can now render images You define a catalog. AI generates JSON constrained to that catalog. Output is an SVG or PNG. Same way json-render keeps AI within your design system for UI - now it does the same for OG images, marketing graphics, data visualizations

The best thing you can do for your enterprise teammates is to describe your microservice's APIs in a skill. Whenever someone wants to know about your service/API, just forward them the skill and call it a day! Teams at SoFi are 1-shotting integrations with this technique

@trq212 what's the best way for our org to track plugin usage of claude code? We use a hook to emit a metric on skill usage. But we'd like to be able to show a list of the "most popular plugins by usage" where usage is a sum of skill, command etc. Hooks for each component?
