We have spent time thinking about what Programmable.family should become over the long term: Real infrastructure cannot be centered around what one team is able to build. It has to give developers, users and the wider community room to build on it. We do not want Programmable to become a catalogue of hooks created by us. We want it to become the place where anyone can bring an idea for a programmable token, build it, have the implementation reviewed and launch it. We’re building a skill for AI coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code. Give your agent the idea. The skill provides the technical standards, testing workflow and application format needed to build for Programmable. You can also submit a hook you built yourself. We do not decide whether an idea is interesting. Every implementation is reviewed against the same published launch and security requirements before it can be approved. We cannot build a thousand great hooks ourselves but we can make it possible for a thousand people to build them. @longdotxyz built Allele, an open-source identity and authentication layer for AI-native applications. The goal is to give developers a composable primitive for identity, permissions, wallets, and agent authentication instead of every app reinventing the same infrastructure. My question is: if LONG's vision is a fully modular stack where every component can be replaced, do you see projects like Allele becoming ecosystem primitives that LONG embraces, or is identity a layer you'd always prefer to build and own internally? I think the answer is important because it shapes how infrastructure builders decide where to invest their time.

Really like the point about being able to replace any component of the stack within 24 hours. That level of modularity is a huge competitive advantage. It also made me think about projects like Allele github.com/brianfurryan/A…. The vision there seems very aligned with composable, replaceable infrastructure rather than creating another closed ecosystem. My question is: when you evaluate open-source primitives like Allele, what makes you decide whether they're something Long should embrace as part of the ecosystem versus something to build internally? It feels like Robinhood Chain will ultimately benefit from a healthy layer of independent infrastructure providers that can compete on quality while remaining composable. Otherwise, every successful primitive eventually gets recreated by the dominant platform, which can discourage builders from investing years into foundational infrastructure. Curious how you think about that balance. Is the goal for Long to own the critical path indefinitely, or to eventually become the best place for third-party infrastructure like Allele to thrive? Some notes on the launcher hype: 1. With every day that passes, I become more confident that the DNA of @longdotxyz, pushing, surviving, and growing, will lead us to win. 2. At first, I viewed the launchers popping up as an existential threat. Now I understand what it truly takes to win, and I am far less concerned(and also underatdn why it makes sense for teams to launch it run 90% of the vol on day 1 and move onto other things) 3. I am slightly concerned about infrastructure projects pushing too aggressively toward verticalization and launching their own competing products. I have already seen this happen on Base. It can be highly destructive, especially when there is still significant infrastructure work required on Robinhood Chain. Regardless, we will continue leveraging any infrastructure and liquidity that genuinely benefits our users. But keep this in mind. afaik we are the only team in the world with almost complete control over the entire stack. If working with any infrastructure provider becomes a net negative for our users or our growth, we will build an in house replacement or work with more aligned partners. There is no component of our stack that we cannot replace within 24 hours. LONG.
