@CGLitzenberger Hi there! The CRA online services are available 21 hours a day. Due to daily maintenance activities, the services are not available for three hours a day from 3 am to 6 am (Eastern time). (1/2)

Why stop at drugs. Suspend all US patents due to the economic emergency they are causing our country and locally produce patented products cheaply for Canadians. Win-win. Canadians get cheap products and the US gets hurt on intellectual property.

Stop all electricity export to the US entirely (if you have the spine to do that) even. Another tool that Canada has is patents. Canada can suspend US patents in the case of a declared "economic emergency" and start producing US patented products (i.e. drugs) locally.

@fordnation Tariffs (by Canada) are the wrong tool. Tariffs, although they hurt the exporter (i.e. the USA) they also hurt Canadians. You have the right idea with removing US liquor from LCBO shelves. You had the right idea with export taxes on electricity.

@petehoekstra Seriously. I cannot believe how out of touch you appear to be. Are you seriously that much out of touch? Are you living under a huge rock or are you just pretending to be? Surely it has to be the latter. Nobody is that out of touch with the US-Can relations.

@petehoekstra Are you effing kidding me? You cannot understand why Canadians are "anti-American"? 51st state and the annexation BS that your big fat orange dick-head of a President spouts. Oh wait, tariffs, and shutting down of the Canadian auto sector. Do I need to go on?

@JonWhoopty Interesting article at share.google/cGe4H4VVEWmCa6… but you didn't cover any of the more technical foibles like it's heavy use of CGNAT and the fact that even if you use IPv6 to bypass the CGNAT some users still can't get inbound connectivity i.e. for running home VPNs.

OK. Enough is enough. 3h on hold is just ridiculous. UPS is clearly a company that is not interested in #cusotmersatisfaction or even just every day business. What contempt a company shows for it's customers to keep them on hold for 3 effing hours!!!!! #upssucksballs #worstco

@X Why does being "verified" mean having to spend money? Surely I can prove who I am without having to buy something from you, can't I? I mean, logically, I can. I guess the bean-counters need some education to understand that being verified doesn't mean needing to spend money.

@andrewjholleran mensjournal.com/travel/u-s-iss… is total clickbait. There is nothing about what the US has said about travel to Canada that should be considered a warning. Unlike the US which is detaining Canadians for weeks at at time Canada is not detaining Americans.

United States Trade Representative
President @realDonaldTrump and Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer deliver a victory for U.S.-UK trade relations, deepening our longtime partnership and expanding our economic integration. The historic U.S.-UK Agreement in Principle to negotiate an Economic Prosperity Deal is lowering tariffs, removing trade barriers, increasing market access, and strengthening cooperation on economic security.

@UKinUSA it's so cute that you think that just because you have the Donald's word on your trade deal that you actually have a deal. Canadians had a very comprehensive deal until the Donald decided that they didn't. He can't be trusted any further than you can throw him.

@WeInGlassHouses @fordnation Oh right. Because it's always been about that <1% of fentanyl that leaks through the northern border. The fentanyl bullshit has always just been a lame excuse to impose tariffs by executive order instead of by Congress which has the only right to impose tariffs in the US.

@fordnation Could have been avoided by just doing what was best for Canada and the US... Step up border security and stop the drugs from coming across...

President Trump is at it again. His 25 per cent tariffs on cars and light trucks will do nothing more than increase costs for hard-working American families. U.S. markets are already on the decline as the president causes more chaos and uncertainty. He’s putting American jobs at risk. I’ve spoken with Prime Minister Carney. We agree Canada needs to stand firm, strong and united. I fully support the federal government preparing retaliatory tariffs to show that we’ll never back down.
