Today we celebrated the launch of the Housing Access Voucher Program, New York’s first statewide rental assistance program to prevent homelessness, and called for a $250 million investment in this year’s state budget. Proud to stand with colleagues and advocates.

Today, my bill -- the Food Safety and Chemical Disclosure Act -- passed through the Senate Agriculture Committee. This bill would require transparency from food manufacturers and close the longstanding GRAS loophole.

Today at the Capitol, I joined my colleagues in standing in solidarity with the people of Minnesota and immigrant communities. No community should live in fear. We need transparency, accountability, and thorough and independent investigations now.

Today in Albany, I rallied with Housing Justice for All, colleagues, tenants, and advocates to send a clear message: New Yorkers need stability. We’re fighting for the REST Act to give localities more options to opt in to rent stabilization and protect their communities.

Hudson River Park should be a space for community, not federal immigration enforcement. I joined local, state, and federal colleagues urging the Hudson River Park Trust to end its ICE parking agreement at Pier 40. Our public spaces must be safe and welcoming for all New Yorkers.

Yesterday, I stood with the @thenyic and colleagues to rally for immigrant and working families and push for $250M for HAVP. Proud to fight for housing stability for every New Yorker, regardless of immigration status.

AM Rosenthal and @BrianKavanaghNY on #HAVP. We need the kind of services that are specific to the actions of our federal government. We cannot be complicit w/the federal gov’t. And we need housing stability. We know that #HAVP can provide the relief people need.

As the budget process begins, lawmakers and advocates from across New York joined @LindaBRosenthal and I in calling for a $250M investment in HAVP—critical funding to help New Yorkers who are homeless or at risk of losing housing secure stable, affordable homes statewide.

Yesterday's State of the State address included a commitment to raise SCRIE and DRIE income limits—a victory for rent-stabilized tenants and Mitchell-Lama residents. See below for my statement.

This morning, I joined students and staff at Cornelia Connelly Center - Connelly Middle School during morning assembly. CCC does incredible work educating and supporting young women on the Lower East Side, and I was grateful for the opportunity to spend time with this community.
