@fasselin94 @KRamona84 Do all teams not have the same equal opportunity to win the WC spots? Wouldn’t this be a good thing for any province that has a team that earns a WC spot and doesn’t play their Provincial trials? It’s not just a NL rule but I appreciate Gushue is a top team but no guarantees

@KRamona84 Because Gushue can now go down the path of not having to represent NL even when he isn’t team Canada. He can just try for the WC spots and doesn’t have to oblige by the residency rules. Therefore all the other curlers are now expecting to have a chance to win NL each year!

My thoughts 1. Wasn’t the bigger problem timing of the Trials? 2. Removing residency rules sort of makes sense but it’s another step at removing provincial representation 3. Nobody is happier than NL curlers 4. 2024 Brier/STOH WC teams are known with a 3 week notice 🤔🤔
