There is a reason people rate forwards more. Creating and scoring is the most difficult aspect of the game. Breaking up play and dirupting an attacker is easier. If u had a shit player on ur team as a kid u always put him in net or as a defender cuz all he has to do disrupt the attacker of the other team. The best players will always be attackers who can create despite the many players trying to stop them. Anyone that values defenders more are genuinely stupid. All the pro defenders were once the best attackers in their teams as a kid. But once they made it into a larger pool of talent were forced to convert into defenders due to their lack of talent in attack. All the failed wingers become fullbacks as well. No kid dreams of becoming the best defender as a mid every footballer starts off as an attacker then his position is later changed as they make it to professional academies due to their lack of talent in attack

Nonsense. A CB has the arguably toughest role in football. An attacker can miss 100 shots in one game and people will glorify him for the 1 goal he scored. Look at Bastoni who made 1 mistake and became the enemy of Italy while nobody questioned the attackers who failed to score
