@esjesjesj The old "2x4" was not squared off fully. You as the builder/carpenter were expected to run them through planers to get them to the current thickness. Just look at how out of square that thing is.

This isn’t new folks, Republicans have always wanted less people voting. Here is Paul Weyrich, co-founder of Heritage and ALEC saying the quiet part out loud. I don’t want everybody to vote…our leverage in elections goes up as the voting populace goes down. #SAVEActTaxesVoting

The SAVE act will impact white men the least. It's a blatantly unfair law meant to suppress the vote of everyone else. See post civil war impacts of laws like this on the black votes. History says it's designed to suppress voters!
Morgan J. Freeman@mjfree

Under Desperate Don's SEXIST "SAVE ACT," married women who changed their name would have to provide birth certificates and/or passports with their new name in order to vote. Getting these documents takes tons of work and MONEY! It is PURE CHEATING, what Trump does best! #SaveActTaxesVoting

@tweetMalena Then there's lost certificates, marriage and divorce docs, legal name change docs (misspellings on prior certificates etc) , etc. The group with the least amount of impact from this is... checks notes... cis het white men..... who... checks again... tend to support Trump/MAGA.

The SAVE Act would dramatically impact voting by requiring citizenship proof, like a birth or naturalization certificate or $165 passport. Millions of Americans don't have these documents, and getting them is expensive & time consuming. #SaveActTaxesVoting

The Texas “antifa” terrorism case didn’t start in a courtroom or an ICE facility. It started almost 10 years earlier, with one of the most expansive disinformation campaigns I’ve ever covered. Here’s how that story was built. (Link in next tweet).

@PebMet1 Weaksauce argument. You're all theory ad nauseum until fight. Starship and raptor 3 is trial and expolsion until they get it right. Which method has shown consistent gains over the last 20 years? Which has had a 3 year long cycle between launches that fail?

Starship is on Raptor 3 and still no where close to mission ready. Since 1981, a total of 46 RS-25s were used for the 135 Shuttle launches and what is coming up on the 2nd Artemis flight. Starship threw away more than that in only 2 flights.

@DJSnM I thought you were talking about lithium in general. We had a LiFePO4 cell go critical a little over a week ago. Fd said to not use water on lifepo either because it can react with the prismatic sheets if there's a significant beach. Got hot enough to melt some of the aluminum

I see there's a bunch of people who have learned that there's types of fire where you need a specialized fire extinguisher to avoid making things worse, it's good to know this stuff. Lithium-Ion battery fires are not one of those fires, the lithium is a salt rather than a metal so it won't react like the lithium metal in a lithium battery. Water cools the surroundings, preventing the fire from spreading, and it can cool adjacent cells to stop the thermal runaway from propagating. Ideally you want to get the burning item outside if possible, avoid breathing the smoke which probably contains nasty fluorine chemicals.

@DJSnM The gist I got was it all depends on how exposed the guys are on a cell. If it's just venting from overheat, yeah, can saturate with water to halt the runaway. But if it's cracked, hit with CO2. Can be hard to tell in all the smoke and vapors though.

@ItsTheEnforcer As you said.. there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sick and tired of knee jerk "we'll figure it out later" types of military actions. It NEVER works out. Our military pays a high enough price. They should never be squandered on Hopes and Prayers.

Let us clarify where we stand on the U.S-Iran war so we can lay this to rest… We supported US action on Iran to subdue the nuclear threat, ballistic missile advancements, and regional threats to stability. However, we expected the US to have a clear plan before launching such an operation — and right now it doesn’t seem there is one. U.S. officials can’t define what “victory” looks like, how to keep the Hormuz Strait open, or much of anything. We believe Americans are willing to accept short-term losses under the premise that there is light at the end of the tunnel. For many Americans, they don’t see the light right now. U.S. officials need to provide clear answers and develop a coherent plan so that this situation doesn’t become a disaster for the entire world… That’s our position — full stop.

A-Fucking-Men to calling out the "both sides" BULLSHIT! "Now, as I’ve said already, the party will be consumed by Nazis after Trump is gone. The regime will fall, and the American right will do what it always does when it loses: Lurch to the right. They didn’t fail because of their extremism! They failed because they weren’t extreme enough! That has been the foundation of Republican politics for over 60 years. But as a party of white Christian Nationalist fascists, where else is there to go but full Nazi? Nick Fuentes knows this. Tucker Carlson knows this. They are watching the regime crumble and positioning themselves to be the leaders of the party to come. Their rot is already spreading throughout the GOP at every level. And since the Republican Party is, in fact, a sewer of liars, racists, morons, and grifters, all powered by propaganda and funded by fascist billionaires, it will be as powerless to stop the Nazis as it was to stop Donald Trump. The second thing? The legacy press attempting to normalize Nazis? That we CAN do something about. A large chunk of the press will be owned by fascist or fascist-friendly billionaires. CBS and CNN will be full-on propaganda in a few years. The Washington Post is already a joke. Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms are being weaponized. But the media landscape is so fractured, they can’t silence us all. And we are loud enough to keep them from making Nazis safe and friendly and normal. They’re going to try, of course. They have to do this. When the Republican Party openly embraces Hitler and Swastikas, the press will trip over itself to explain that the genocidal monsters we beat in WWII and then spent three-quarters of a century demonizing in every form of mass media and pop culture are just another political party. To do otherwise would force the press to admit the GOP is dangerous and extreme and unfit to govern an HOA, much less a city, state, or the entire federal government. At the same time, we will not allow these treacherous fucks to paint Democrats as “just as bad” as literal Nazis. Calling for an end to billionaires is not the same as calling for an end to Jews. Calling for more taxes is not the same as calling for the ban of the LGBTQ community. Universal Healthcare is not the policy equivalent of closing the borders and deporting 100 million people. No matter how loudly the press screams “Both parties! Both sides! Everyone is guilty, so no one is!”, we will be there to punch them in the nose and kick them in the balls (rhetorically) until they back the fuck off and stop lying about who we are and who the GOP has become." “Waiting 40 years” is the part that should terrify everyone. That means this wasn’t about America’s safety — it was about finally finding an American president easy enough to steer into someone else’s war. Not leadership. Not strategy. Just manipulation with a U.S. flag on it. 🇺🇸💥

🚨BOOM: Sen. Chris Van Hollen drops a BOMB on Trump about Iran: “Netanyahu said the other day that he's been waiting 40 years… to get to this point… It took him 40 years to find an American president who is STUPID enough to drag America into this war.”

So it’ll miss the moon by 40 minutes. But if we changed the orbital velocity by about 10cm/sec in 2028 we could make it hit the moon.
