@Pathfinder077 @arojinle1 100% bro 👍 Whenever I'm listening to any music, my brain always goes back to the first time I heard that particular music, what I was doing at the time and any other notable memories fixed to that particular song.

The process my brain uses in calling stuff can be funny sometimes. I was trying to remember the state Rotimi Amaechi once governed... My Brain: * Duncan Mighty once praised him in a song as the governor of his state. Duncan Mighty calls himself "Portharcourt's first son" * Portharcourt is the Capital of Rivers State * Therefore, the state that Amaechi governed is Rivers State

We’ve had some serious armed robberies in my estate, and we’ve been working hard to catch the robbers. But sometimes, neighbors will shout “thief, thief” when we arrive, and we end up beating up someone who turns out to be innocent, just someone who upset them. Sometimes, we don’t even see anyone there, they just laugh and say they were joking. I think if we started beating up people who falsely claim theft, it might actually make it easier to catch the real thieves. This post is not about armed robbery.

Just like the majority of people consider Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest player of all time but currently, we have players like Mbappe and Haaland at the top in their prime. The same goes with Simi and Tacha. Simi is in her prime but Tacha remains the greatest of all time when it comes to stupidity, foolishness and dumbness. Any woman can beat her temporarily just to be at the spotlight but they can never take her rightful position as the number one. This is Simi time to shine, and no matter what Tacha does now, she can't outfool Simi and take away her glory. As an aggressive attacking bed to bed midfielder that she is, she ought to give room for her fellow defensive bed to bed midfielder to shine. At the end of the day, everybody has their seasons, so Tacha should stand aside and let Simi shine for now. The game might be brutal but it's still fair.

One day, a friend of mine was traveling from Ibadan to Ogbomoso in his new Range Rover. There was heavy traffic because of construction on the alternative route. He checked his schedule and realized there was no way he would meet his goal at that rate. So he parked, walked up to the construction workers, spoke with them, and gave them something meaningful on the spot. They opened the new road. one that wasn’t yet approved for commuters and in no time, he arrived in Ogbomoso. When he returned, he looked at me and said, “Kunle, you like following protocol in everything. If you continue like this, there’s a high probability you won’t get anywhere, not even in a country like Nigeria.” Till today, I still think about those words.

Everyone’s first guess was “Kàrámọ̀”. But unfortunately… “Kàrámọ̀” is originally not a Yoruba word. It was adopted from the Arabic language. Etymology: Karamah …كرامة In its original Islamic theological context, Karamah refers to supernatural wonders or miracles performed by pious individuals (as opposed to Mu'jiza, which are miracles performed specifically by Prophets). As the term integrated into Yoruba via trade and religion, it initially described "unbelievable" spiritual feats. But humans being humans, the line between unbelievable miracle and unbelievable story started to blur. Over time, the divine meaning was replaced by skepticism. • Old meaning: A manifestation of grace. • New meaning: “Adding salt and pepper” to a story to make it sound more grand than it is. And you might be wondering, there are several other words in this category, adopted from Arabic also: Alaafia, Adua, Asiri, Wakati, Alubarika, Alubosa (onion), Aleebu (flaw), Riba, Anfaani, Arisiki, Faari (pride), Fitina, Kadara, Musiba, Sina, Makaruru, Woli,… abbl. Back to the word “exaggeration”; Kàrámọ̀ is not wrong, since adoption is part of language. In pure Yoruba word, it is Àsọdùn. Mahabat. ✊🏾🤎

I will never stand by and watch anyone downplay the contributions of the Igbos in our oil sector. Igbos own all fuel stations in Lagos according to Biafra Times. Infact, Igbos own Dangote Refinery but they employed Dangote to run the refinery on their behalf. Respect the Igbos please!

"you’ll see me in public, fear no go ever gree u ask me what’s the TIME!" Women overrate themselves! And you can't blame them. If not for simps who continue enabling these women audacity, women won't lack self awareness. What's there to be intimidated by a baby mama who whored her way into fame, has hit the wall, became an evening newspaper, lost value in the dating market, an inch away from menopause, and slept with multiple men in order to afford the lifestyle she's currently living? I haven't seen a whore who didn't call herself smart. Cardi B, Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa and you are all women who perceive themselves to be smart, yet couldn't keep a man. Their smartness earned them the tittle of a baby mama. So I understand what you mean when you say your daughter is smart. At the end of the day, a goat doesn't give birth to a lion which means despite the smartness you claim your daughter has, she'll end up like her mother. Next time, if you want to banter somebody, face them head on rather than involving your daughter who's 100 times more likely to bring disgrace to the society than the male child.

If I received this from a lady, I would fall to my knees instantly. Then I would whip myself till I blëd. Having flagellated myself sufficiently, I would cry out to God and weep until He heard me. And when He finally did, I would confess how deeply I have failed Him, failed my lineage, failed myself, and demand, on the spot, that He turn me into a pillar of salt.

Useless men on Twitter will see this and avoid it immediately because it doesn’t fit their stupid narrative of what a “Nigerian woman is supposed to be”. They won’t engage because it exposes their lies. This video is a PERFECT example of the average Nigerian woman. And yes, I said “average”. Nigerian women are extremely considerate, extremely understanding, patient, and emotionally intelligent. But of course, you know na.. Twitter men will ignore this and then pick ONE isolated case of an “extravagant” woman and use it to generalise millions of women. Typical nonsense. At the end of the day, there is a woman for every man.. If a lady is “too demanding” for you, it simply means she is not in your nitch Period. Move on.. Nobody should lie to you, this video alone tells you that over 80% of Nigerian women are not asking for crazy money! they are reasonable, grounded, and considerate. The real issue is that Nigerian men are chasing women who are clearly above their level.. and that’s why you’re online crying every day.. cause If you weren’t chasing what you can’t afford, you wouldn’t be shouting about “she said her rent is 15M” like someone put a gun to your head. Nobody forced you. At the end of the day! Stop projecting your inadequacy on Nigerian women. The problem is not women. The problem is YOUR LONG THROAT

Let’s assume Mr. Ade owns a fast growing rice company called Premier League Top 4 Ltd. He wants to expand nationwide, but he needs ₦45 billion to do that. Right now, sapa is holding him by the neck, so he does not have the money. Mr. Ade has two options: 1. He can borrow from serious investors, not loan sharks please😂 2. He can sell part of his company to raise capital. But the problem is that he does not know who has that kind of money. He does not know how to structure the deal properly or even how to determine what his company is truly worth. He can't just wake up and say my company is worth ₦10 billion based on vibes and confidence. So he goes to an investment bank. Let’s say the bank is called 5 Matches Win Equal Haircut Bank, and the banker handling the deal is Mr Carrick. Mr Carrick now rolls up his sleeves🧗. He studies the company properly and goes through the financial statements line by line. He calculates what the business is truly worth, not what Mr Ade feels it is worth. Then he starts looking for big men, pension funds and serious investors that can actually bring ₦45 billion to the table. After that, he structures the deal in a way that makes sense, negotiates the terms so Mr Ade does not get cheated, and works with lawyers and regulators to make sure everything is clean and compliant. No cutting corners. No stories that touch. He's not Falz. Now, why are investment bankers paid so much? coz the work no be beans. The transactions are massive. We are talking billions. One small mistake in calculation can scatter everything. The pressure is intense. Deadlines are tight. Sleep is optional. When the deal finally closes, they might earn hundreds of millions in fees just for arranging it. Out of that, they pay the bankers well.

There is no fish that won’t get cooked if they cook it on fire or heat. It’s the laws of physics, and fishes can’t defy it. There was one river like that in Ilepa (Ifo LGA) a few decades back. As stubborn kids, we ignored the lore and used woven baskets to pack the fishes, after which we cooked and ate them. We were punished o, and our parents paid heavy fines, but they cooked like mad. The takeaway from this was that our forebears understood something about the living environment before our ‘western teachers’ discovered environmental protection and preservation. Centuries back, across many communities in Yorubaland and perhaps Nigeria and Africa at large, there was always a river or stream set apart that was religiously protected by stories, taboos, or religious worship. These traditions, as superstitious as one may see them today, were quiet systems of environmental wisdom. They were designed with the wisdom of old to preserve aquatic life and sustain the ecosystem for generations. The best way to command strict obedience was to invent stories like fishes that are immune to cooking, to project that they aren’t ordinary, and cooking them could incur the wrath of the gods. Fear of wrath of the gods was the most useful weapon of mass control at the time. In the same way, many communities also kept some forests sacred with these stories. In those forests, hunting, logging, or even entry was forbidden. Do you know what we call that these days? Nature Reserves. Our ancestors were wise people. They safeguarded the environment through culture, belief, stories, and collective agreement. Long before the westerners created the modern wildlife and environmental conservation laws, our ancestors had already learned that preservation of the environment is the surest path to long term survival. But at the time, how better to do it than to embed the lesson in lores?
Ife Dada@IfeDada2

There is a river in a state in Nigeria that the fishes can’t be k!lled. Like if you catch the fish and even take it home and try to cook it…it won’t cook because the pot itself used in cooking it would reject it and if you don’t return this fish back you might likely loose your life. The river is located in Erijiyan in Ekiti State.

During my time in UI, one of my lecturers was telling us about how saying something in Yoruba makes something more impactful than saying the same in English. He gave an example of a verse in the bible “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.”, then in Yoruba. “Má ṣe fẹ́ràn oorun, àìṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ ìwọ ko ni se oun rere. Ma ṣe sùn ìwọ yóò sì ní oúnjẹ láti tún fi tọrọ” Ha🙆🏾‍♂️. Abeg, emi fẹ ṣ’oun rere o. Emi ko fẹẹ di talaka o😂😂😂
