@alder_riley Are we really going to ignore the (conveniently) unhighlighted part that mentions this is scoped to firearms and firearm parts? You're still free to print whatever you like as long as it's not going into or onto a firearm...

Damn, they actually passed it? Unlicensed operation of 3D printers and CNCs is now a felony in Washington? I get that it's fashionable to hate manufacturing in some places but how many kids and FIRST robotics teams are going to end up with criminal records because of this?

I love the idea of printed tables, but the top surfaces are always a bit slippery. What high temperature resistance material and technique would you use?

@suaeccellenzan1 @josefprusa Can’t replace the AP board on a Bambu without first having to supply the old board serial number. Then Bambu needs to activate the new board. But sure, enjoy the boot on your neck. As long as it’s cheap, who cares about e-waste and sustainability?

@josefprusa I don’t think these points are fair. Bambu Lab is receiving money from the Chinese government, but they also sell better and more advanced printers. The synergy between hw and sw and the easiness of use is top with Bambu Lab. You guys are always two step behind so far.

This wins the most insane build award. Seen at the @Duet3D booth. Two hot end gantries. Both can be used at the same time or one at a time. The plan is to have like dual INDX with iirc 8 hotends per "level" meaning like 16 hotends on one printer. Insane amount of electronics

How can you tell if you have a PolyLite PLA Pro spool or one of the new Polymaker PLA Pro spools? This Polymaker PLA Pro Metallic Green has the new spool design showing Multi-Material System compatibility and has labeled Polymaker Pla Pro. Compared to the original Polymaker PolyLite PLA Pro Polymaker Teal spool which has the older spool design and is labeled PolyLite PLA Pro. Let me know if you have any questions!

In case folks need the context, the majority of consumer PCs sold annually (~120-140M depending on the year) are in the sub $700-800 price tier. 95% or more Windows-based. In markets outside US price tier is under $600. This is where Apple is targeting Macbook Neo.

@ZombieHedgehog_ Did they say it’s a toolchanger? I thought they teased a Mimaki UV ink printer clone during Formnext.

I'm very interested to see what their new toolchanger brings to the table. It looks similar to the U1 but flashforge has been known to make good stuff in the past. More options are more better!
