We're loving the Hawthorn blooms right now! Especially the pink stamens! 💕🌸 Did you know, it was said that Hawthorn blossom smelled like the great plague ☠️ It was also thought to bring death and illness if you brought the flowers inside your home! #citynaturechallenge

The #citynaturechallenge has started!! Feeling chuffed that our first nature spot is this bundle of fluff from our kitchen window! You can imagine the squeals!! So, it turns out we have a fox den at the back of the garden. 😱🤸‍♀️

Has anyone else started drinking more tea than normal? I'm easily downing 7 cups a day! 😬 I'm in complete lockdown, stuck within the confines of my house & tiny garden. Having a cuppa outside whilst listening to the birds is my little bit of normal in this abnormal world. ☕🕊️

So many yellow booties 💛🍑 Now, I'm no spider lover (don't judge) but I think this is pretty awesome! A cluster of baby Common Garden Spiders. They'll become the big juicy orb spiders you find on bushes and between your garden chairs. 🕷️🕸️

This little boy has come in today . Tiny at just over 100 grams . Covered in fly eggs but is feeling more comfortable now they have all been removed and he has had some lovely food . #hoglets #makingadifference #generationkind

‘ Blood drinker of the rains’ Horse fly - Tabanidae - UK - Female. The second photo shows what delivers that painful nip. They have eyes to die for, well maybe not die, maybe just sacrificing a little blood :)
