The more I hear people say #outsideisfree, the more I hate the saying. Yes, outside is technically “free”, but the catchphrase also usually glosses over how much ppl spend on their outdoor gear, and the disproportionate ease of access to the outdoors.

@EatSleepCycle My touring/commuting bike (coming up on 30 years old) has had three sets of forks and a broken chainstay. All fixable cos of good old steel. My road bike is only 15 years old, but also two structural repairs in that time. Keep the story going!

@briztreadley Hey Andrew, looking at the service notice it states that the bridge will be closed for routine maintenance, meaning our buses will not be servicing over the bridge. I apologise but I do not have any more information regarding the bike paths across the bridge. -Jay

@antmandan @qldhealthnews yeah I went looking at Qld Health website first, I suppose they have till 6pm to get the notice up?? Agree its very poor to announce it to media and not do the official notice simultaneously

Hi @qldhealthnews I realise you've got a lot going on right now, but I just went to the website to get info about the lockdown and wow, this is pretty turgid even for government. If you want people to follow advice, a good tip might be to not turn it into a game of hide and seek?
