I suppose I often feel the need to throw in that I don't believe everything for the trolls that immediately jump to calling me a Zionist or some crap. I'm not even a dispensationalist in terms of my theology, but that's often too nuanced for some.
Ben Shapiro won TPUSA. His insane act of moral courage overshadowed the whole event. He was living rent-free in everyone’s heads from day one, and all the stuttering, petty, grifters came across like moral midgets in comparison.
The grifters still might win. The direction of the movement and the future of America is still up in the air. But nothing will undo what Ben accomplished in that speech, and I hope it inspires more courage in others.
Agree, but I’d argue there’s no need to give the “now I don’t agree with everything” caveat because we don’t even agree with our past selves 100% of the time, let alone someone who has published a daily podcast for a decade.
The real reason people don’t like Ben is that he reveals their poor thinking skills and emotivism. Notice how nobody on here is engaging with the arguments made in his AmFest speech (the five things commentators owe their audiences). They are just overflowing with rage and insults.
People don't like Ben, but I think he's incredibly articulate. I'm not saying there aren't times when he frustrates me (previous position on Trump, early position on vaccines)... But his speech was spot on and I think it rattled his detractors and their speeches were weak in comparison for me.
