@engineering_bae CFA does a lot (8-10) but we try to do them fairly quickly. I’m not super mad at it because we want to hire for life and there’s very low turnover. I had been a contractor and still did it but was fine. I think some people are copying the pattern but not seeking the result.

@engineering_bae I can probably find some things from former HD folks here, but if they are on the market I would strongly encourage them to also consider CFA. It’s been incredible working here and a remarkably healthy environment. And we have open engineer reqs!

Entrepreneurship is an amazing experience. But building a team and shaping the direction of a section of a company, or a whole company, can also be a rewarding journey. TL;DR: Get paid. There are a lot of ways to get paid. 2/2

A lot of folks read this as “so go start a company”. In the words of Busta Rhymes “this rap 💩was not designed for every swollen muffin.” I ran a company for 16 years. We were successful. I never made market. Now I make a lot more with less stress in corporate. 1/2
