@leejay2876 Ohh I’m guessing that’s Overtone brewery from Glasgow. Their stouts are powerful stuff. So be interesting to see what the cask influence is on this

Dram 2 was…. An Ardamurchan AD 08:18 cask 1062 bottled for The George Hotel, Inverary. Unpeated 1st fill Spanish Oak, Ex Oloroso Sherry Butt. 57.8%. 694 bottles. £85 #BlindDrams

Dram 1 was…. The Campbeltown festival 2024 bottling from Whisky Sponge. The Glen Toon. An 11yo 1st fill bourbon hogshead. 53%. 225 bottles. £95 #blinddrams

Dram 5 Palate: pencil shavings, lemon, watermelon. Getting Ardmore vibes #BlindDrams

Dram 5 Nosing: smoky in an indulgent way! Medicinal and brine. Floral, honey #BlindDrams

Dram 4 Finish: really long finish. Dried fruits. Score: a solid 4

Dram 4 Palate: salty! Peppercorn. Pickled onion. This would be great in a Manhattan! Dark and spicy #BlindDrams

Dram 4 Nose: underripe strawberry, gooseberry, ham, green apple skin, smoked salt #BlindDrams

#blinddrams dram 3 water neither helps nor hinders. A spicy, jammy, nutty dram and feeling there is a similar DNA with drams 1 and 2. Groundhog day scoring another 3.

Dram 3 Finish. The maraschino has stuck to the end here. #BlindDrams Score 2 - is started as a 3 but something didn’t just quite land at the end

Dram 3 Palate: Maraschino Liqueur, rose petals, sweeter on the palate. Rhubarb Crumble #BlindDrams

Dram 3 Nose: nutty again! Dark red fruit, furniture polish, chocolate nibs, burnt toast and maraschino #BlindDrams

Dram 2 Score: 3. Although very enjoyable something missing to make it a 4. But sweet to savour we are on a flavour journey here! If I were to make it seperate to Dram 1. dram 1 would have been a 2.5. And Dram 2 a 3.5

Dram 2 Finish: savoury savoury savoury. Dark and rich. Mostly short but a nuttiness lingers #BlindDrams
