What Real Madrid’s next coach must do if he wants to succeed at the club: Make Arda Güler a regular starter and buy more central and defensive midfielders to complement him, Jude Bellingham, and Federico Valverde. Make Vinícius jr the club’s undisputed captain. Build the team around Vinícius Júnior because he’s Real Madrid’s best player. Sell Kylian Mbappé, although that doesn’t seem possible. So either force him to play as a central striker instead of drifting to the wing or trying unnecessary link-up play, or bench him. Make Mbappé press or leave the club. Loan out Franco Mastantuono for development and bring back Endrick immediately. Drop Álvaro Carreras for now and make him earn his place with stronger performances. Consider loaning or selling Eduardo Camavinga. Sell Aurélien Tchouaméni to either Manchester United or Chelsea for a big fee. Buy a natural right winger (or convert Endrick into one) and sign an experienced striker. Finally, recognize that Mbappé will not win trophies for the team if he continues to have untouchable status in the starting XI.
