The financial system in America was designed by rich people to keep poor people exactly where they are, and your credit score is the lock on the door That's not a conspiracy. It's the business model Here's what nobody in finance will say plainly because their job depends on you not hearing it. The entire credit system, the score, the bureaus, the lending hierarchy, was built by the financial industry FOR the financial industry. You were never the customer. You were always the product FICO is a publicly traded company. Their stock ticker is literally FICO. Market cap in the tens of billions. They make money every single time a lender pulls your score. Over 100 billion pulls a year. You generate the data with your entire financial life, every payment, every balance, every account, and FICO packages it into a number they sell to lenders. You never agreed to this. You never signed up. You were enrolled at birth the first time someone opened an account in your name The three bureaus, Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, are not government agencies. They are private, for-profit corporations that make money by collecting your data and selling access to it. Experian alone does over $6 billion in annual revenue. They are data brokers wearing a government costume. And the data they collect is famously wrong, studies have shown a massive percentage of credit reports contain errors, but fixing errors is YOUR burden, not theirs, because accurate data is expensive and sloppy data still sells And here's the part that should make you furious. The score was designed to reward DEBT, not wealth. A millionaire who pays cash for everything and owes nobody has a WORSE score than a broke person juggling five maxed credit cards at 22% interest. Because the score doesn't measure financial health. It measures how profitably you participate in the lending system. The "perfect" borrower isn't debt-free. They're permanently, reliably in debt, paying interest every month, never defaulting, never leaving The minimum payment on your credit card isn't a kindness. It's calibrated to keep you paying the LONGEST. On a $5,000 balance at 22%, minimum-only payments take 18 years and cost you $6,900 in interest. You pay back nearly $12,000 for $5,000 worth of stuff. That's not a bug. That's the revenue model The overdraft fee isn't protection. It's a $35 charge on a $5 shortfall that, if you do the math as an annualized loan, comes out to thousands of percent APR. A payday lender would get shut down for those numbers. Your bank calls it a "service" The entire structure, the score, the bureaus, the minimum payments, the overdraft fees, the 22% APR, the late fees, the reporting system, all of it was engineered by the people who profit from it. You were taught to chase a number they invented, worship a score they own the formula for, and feel ashamed when it drops, as if a three-digit number owned by a corporation reflects something about your character It does not reflect your character. It reflects your usefulness to them Here's how you actually win inside a rigged game: Use their products against them. Take the 0% offers, pay them off before interest hits, and make the bank lose money on you. They designed the promo to trap you. Be the 5% who takes the free money and leaves Keep your score high enough to access their cheapest money, then use that money to build things that make you independent of them Fix your credit not because the score matters morally, but because a high score is a tool that unlocks their vault. Use the tool. Don't worship it Build assets, cash, equity, businesses, things the score can't touch and the bureaus can't rate. The people at the top of the system don't obsess over their credit score. They use credit as a tool and build wealth outside of it The system was built to keep you on the treadmill. Understand the treadmill, use it for speed, and then step off lmfaooo (we fix credit fast, link in bio)

Just crossed the graduation stage with my people 4 years of late-night study sessions, pizza runs and chaotic laughter—now off to write the next chapter. Grateful for every messy, perfect moment. Grad mode: OFF. New story: ON.

Just watched a stand-up show at a tiny downtown club—comedian joked my neon hat was “a traffic cone for my head” and the whole room lost it. 10/10, my cheeks hurt from laughing!
