Trade Volume Filters I looked into my journal and realized that the trades with the biggest slippage were all on coins which were not that liquid. (... this was so obvious in hindsight) Illiquid coins also don't do much volume per 1 minute. (... this too was obvious in hindsight, since the only way an illiquid coin could have loads of volume is if it was being wash traded. But a coin with LOW volume is basically guaranteed to be illiquid) So I took a closer look at ALL trades that I did in coins which had less than $100k/1min of volume. - And I discovered that if I was trading coins which had less than $100k/1min of volume , it was actually -EV for me to do so because I was getting hit by slippage so hard. So by simply taking fewer trades in illiquid coins, my P&L started to go up. The Lesson: - You don't always need to do something "better" or add something "new to a system to improve its profit. - Sometimes you just need to do "less bad stuff" 🌶️

$BTC Prepping for pullback, if we hit 99.7k I'm long Alright so last few posts, called the low and planned for a swing long, taken in live time and profited at the time of posting. each TP with reasoning. TP1 and TP2 are in and still waiting for TP3. But we're seeing price action slow down and the month just ended, spot market also slowing down with price action momentum, and we are getting classic deviations with aggressive CVD on $BTC perps and alts (which in a way is the same). So no matter the viewpoint, local exhaustion is clear. We also haven't seen an aggressive pullback yet this grind up so wouldn't surprise me if we get one. That wouldn't invalidate the long idea though, as the call of the low being in still holds, but it would be a perfect pullback to scare most of the people who feel FOMO now buying $BTC and more so alts in expectations of a bullish Feb. For those reasons, I still remain with the mentality that taking those profits on this long trade are going to age well, and will allow us to compound comfortably once we pull back. I still think Feb will be bullish, but would love to see an early month shake-out. If it happens and we run that low into the H6 POI and give a good reaction, that's a long for me, compounded on the (now risk free) open long on $BTC. Regarding altcoins, still not interested. Need to see higher on $BTC.D (60%). Once we do, it's IMO going to be easy mode again for max profits in a short period of time. But that takes patience which is what we have been exerting now for over a month now. Congrats if you waited along.
